Yup but I saw the same version in the damier canvas, much better but it is much more structured. LV needs to come out in that style but is soft, collapsable leather.

Somebody school me on vintage LV trunks...
Availability?

Yeah Nylon doesn't work with that price tag. I agree with you RFX, they need a soft collapsable leather. The current keepall are a little too stiff

Since 1854, when Monsieur Louis Vuitton opened his first store in Paris, his name has been synonymous with the ultimate in luxurious luggage. His incredible trunks with their now iconic canvas coverings, introduced that same year, combined pragmatism and elegance and were "perfectly adapted to the current means of transport and changes in the lives of his clients." That's the basis of the best luxury book of the year, travel, epitomizing the glamour and elegant decadence of an era when journeying to a foreign land involved adventure, romance and style.

The trunks featured in the incredible book are "extraordinary in every way, for a hundred reasons," writes Patrick-Louis Vuitton, the fifth-generation descendant of Monsieur Vuitton who is now in charge of bespokeorders for the firm, "as much for what they carried as for the work, the care, the inventiveness and the ingenuity required to make them." The 100 featured trunks are divided into five sections according to the people who owned them: Explorers & Adventurers, Crowned Heads & Aristocrats, Dandies & Fashionable Ladies, Artists & Scholars, and Hedonists & Eccentrics. Many a Maharaja, actors from Douglas Fairbanks toSharon Stone, couturiers from Jeanne Lanvin to Karl Lagerfeld, as well as the likes of Ernest Hemingway, Leopold Stokowski, and Damien Hirst have all traveled with Louis Vuitton trunks, often customized in various ways.

Should I opt for a Navy instead?

P.S TheAnswer, I know it was on the website at sale time (well the Canadian website) but it's gone from both the US (if it was ever there) and Canadian website.  I just checked the tag from mine (saved it with the extra buttons) which was also navy and it says:

Style # : 244169

Fabric: Z4090

Colour: 4440

If you give them that info stores might be able to do a proper nation wide search and find out if they still have it. It was priced around $800 at sale which is half of what I paid for mine around august. It's a pretty good deal.
If this is our first leather jacket, go with brown than navy, it'll be a lot more versatile no matter what your skin color is.

I haven't been to NIKETALK in months and seeing you clowns in this thread reminded me why!!

I see you Q!!!!

It's all good. But the sheen on the leather jacket will most likely go away after wear, leather jackets are one of those article of clothing that just gets better the more you wear it.
Also, navy is pretty versatile when it comes to trousers and jackets (blazers & other outerwear) but not when it comes to leather outside of shoes/sneakers.

Went to the LV store here in Houston today, bought a light blue polo (will post pics later), with a pocket on the left side that had Damier print on it, they had plenty of new stuff that blew me away clothes wise, including the thin version of the LV letterman jacket in black

.

but being a college student only allows you to buy so much. The boat shoes did catch my eye, I don't have a pic but they're up on the LV website.

Anyone know were the whole mexico theme came from?

LV polo was 330 plus tax. It also comes in white and this Olive looking color. The jacket was either 1700 or 1900, I can't remember what the guy told me, this was in Houston by the way.
