I'm bout to clean out my closet..i have about 40-50 pairs of levis 514's, 511's, and 501's and plan to rid of them all.

If you could only have 5-8 pieces in your wardrobe, what would you get? $300 max for each pair.

nice pickups on those shoes manny, saw those on the website and were interested, did they have any other colors available in store though? how is the material/quality like?

The quality is great, and the suede is super buttery.

The only had the one color, but my SA said that the rest of the S/S shoe line should be coming in soon.

There's a dark brown version coming out of the shoe I posted, as well as a midtop/hightop version of the waterproof boat shoe.
 
As my search continues for vintage LV trunk, I decided to get this while I was in NYC...

That's pretty cool. I'm really disappointed that the LV Tokyo 2011 guidebook is sold out, anyone have an idea where I could pick one up? None are on eBay...

Yeah, i figure 8 should be enough..

Anything else besides dior & apc? what about nudie?
 
Depends on the fit. I personally like Spurr pipe leg jeans, no breaking in needed, soft & comfy as hell.
I also like DRKSHDW detroit cut jeans, it might be too goth ninja for most here though.

Nudies are good, so are Naked & Famous. Both can be had for deep discounts too.
 
The DRKSHDW regular cut jeans are fuller, probably on a 514 sizing with a bit more taper on the bottom.
Get Balmain if you can, I still want the moto jeans.

Good luck finding Dior's for less than $300.
I know somebody here did, but I tried this past weekend & failed.

I tried Nudie's, but I didn't find something that I really liked & didn't feel like wasting the effort to find the right cut.

Now that I think about it, I did have a pair that I liked, but my gf accidentally washed them & they shrunk like crazy!

I really like the fit of RRL & PRPS for a straight fit without being too skinny.

yea Diors floor price is usually 300-330 and last i checked there popular raw denim went up in price again to $350/360 so i guess that was a bad call on my part...although you can find them for less at barneys/outlet sales from time to time...your not far from woodbury commons and the dior outlet there gets shipments of mens jeans from time to time...

you can def check out nudies as they usually go for 140-300 with most cuts being 150-240. plenty of diff cuts...you should take urself to atrium or barneys on madison or broadway and ~74th and just try on diff cuts to see which fits best. you should have hit me sooner with this i got rid of 15pairs of nudies i stopped wearing a few years back.
naked and famous makes good denim for $150-220 so thats def in your price range...RRL would also be worthy of checking out good denim and for your size should fit right...im not a big fan of prps denim so i cant speak much for it..

hmm i would agree, but True Religion is a little further ahead in popularity.  I dont have any Dior denim, ive seen you guys talk bout it tho so ima give it a try.  Overall though, I like my Burberry denim better than any gucci, loui or what have you.  For price, its the best imo.  I love loui denim but its not worth no damn $750.
