Yea, the Sandro sold out mad quick at Nordstrom.  I kept it on my bookmark and hoped someone would return--and lucky for me, a Medium was returned a week or 2 later, and I was able to grab onto it.  Definitely worth the price--great versatile jacket for everyday wear, even when it's really cold.  I wore it in 20 degree weather 2-3 weeks ago, and it kept me warm.

Speaking for the bigger gentlemen in here, I need some high end denim ideas ... I wear a size 38 - 40. I tried a 36 in balmains but it was too snug for my liking ... Any ideas anyone?

They probably have them in the back, but are holding out for their good customers.  Maybe you should try buying some other Hermes items first, and building a relationship with a sales associate.

this is what gets me tight. A lot of ppl ain't rich and can't just buy whatever crap Hermes sells to please the SA and get the good items. It's ridiculous, you can't expect me to drop 5k on things I don't want just to be considered in deciding who gets to purchase the Hermes bag, or belt. It's a damn joke and gets on my nerves. Boy I wish ftl hit me up asking to buy nikes like that :lol:

On Hermes' end, I don't think it is the clientele but just shady business.

So, if you bought something in the store, were a ;good client,’ then they offered to sell you a Birkin. People who were put on the waiting list were people who didn’t buy anything in the store, just people who wanted a Birkin and did their actual clothes shopping over at Chanel or Prada, etc.”

You’ve said the process was unfair. What were your experiences with store clerks like?
“There was also the time I went into the Madison Avenue store and asked for a Birkin and was told they didn’t have one. I hung around the store for a few minutes thinking about whether I should buy a Kelly bag or some other bag. While waiting, a young Russian couple was very busy buying several Hermes travel bags and belts. As I was deciding to leave, I watched as a salesperson came out from the back room with two Birkins to show this couple. “

How would you feel if you were on the other end of the spectrum?  What if you bought $100,000 worth of merchandise from one sales associate, and refer numerous clients to them.  Would you still feel the same way?  Would you still agree that a nobody off the street who has never bought a single item from the store, should be able to get the rare and limited items instead of you?

What if you were a sales associate and your paycheck depended on your sales?  Would you try to keep your good/established clients by going out of your way to provide them with hard to obtain items?  Or would you just sell them to anybody that walks in, and potentially risk losing your core clients to another sales associate who will go out of their way to make them happy?
 
Yes I would. It's fcfs for those items. Not no rich fancy piece of **** list. There are other ways to reward repeat buyers such as discounts and rewards cards etc. I keep things 100, if I miss out on something cuz I came late no big deal, but if some rich dude comes after me, flashes the credit card and gets whatever he wants I have a problem with it
