LOL!
No big deal, I'm just letting Lurkin that it is a men's belt.
Wouldn't want to deter him from it just because he believes it is a womens belt.
I was going to say it is UniSex but I just think these are made for men with the length available and overall style.
I guess just agree to disagree?

Pretty sure there are two widths in that belt, one more for women (i'm pretty sure it was a 30), one more for men (40). Then the "natural" coloris always in the women's section as well although it comes in both widths

I checked earlier in the LV website and they didn't have it. Well, they do have it but when you click on it, it brings you to the Men's belt.
No hate though, some of the women's belt does look good. I kind of like this one, I guess due to the print and how it is printed.

The logo-heavy lines from those designers are not high fashion. They are constructed by these designer labels for two reasons: free advertising for the designer, and for the wearer to broadcast how much money they spend on clothes. Everyone knows how much a Burberry wallet, a Burberry polo, and a Gucci belt cost. And it's cheaply made. Burberry, for example, is the worst. Their wallets feel like plastic. They're terrible.

People obsessed with status symbols buy this stuff, but true high fashion (and fashion sense) lies in pieces that make sense with a wardrobe. If you're rockin' Sean John jeans with a Gucci belt, then you look like a fool. I have plenty of designer stuff, from Armani Collection to Michael Bastian, and even Burberry, but you'd never know who made what unless I told you. No logos.

I think it would behoove a lot of you to move past the logos and appreciate what some designers have out there based on how it all looks together, or at least how you can make it look with your wardrobe, rather than choose one item at a time that doesn't make sense.

And don't misinterpret this post, there's nothing wrong with the labels I mentioned early in this thread. They are pioneering fashion houses that have defined fashion for years (or 150, in the case of one of them), but they can be pulled off with better sensibility. LV is a relative newcomer to clothing, but the brand is ubiquitous. They have taken advantage of a marketing opportunity that costs them next to nothing.
Finally, someone who can put into words what I've been feeling for a while. Good post!

I was thinking of getting my girl the ring from this for V-day, assuming they have some in stock when I get out of class.

It's on their website for sale already, but it would only let me add one size for the ring - I'm not sure if they're releasing it in differentsizes or just the one. I'll find out this evening, I guess and report back.

^^it has dropped and illionaire that crew is still available at LV stores....at least last time i checked it was

oh ok - actually come to think of it the graphite "release" party was after i already had like 3 items
laugh.gif
guess they drop it then do a lil intro party =

and on the crew- just go to your local store and have them do a search...i know they are gone from boston and las vegas - but maybe still somewhere - i thoughtmy SA said it was a wrap last time i was in there b/c he was actually tryna get one-

Yeah Russ if you can get a report on that ring LMK, I won't be heading to the spots till the end of this week.

JayLove - I agree with that statement to an extent most of my High End Pieces that are Clothing are subtle and quiet, my accessoriesaren't as loud either.

Ok, I called the local LV. They said the small size is already sold out across the country... so I have a medium on hold until I get out of class. Depending onthe SA, sometimes they're clueless, though. So, if this one doesn't fit I'll ask one of the ones I usually deal with if they can get it... orI'll make my GF just deal with it.

I wasn't going to respond to this but since Jersey hasn't responded to my other post and I want encourage Dakingii to shake his head and then click theback button when he sees the wall of text (and the fact that I am bored at work), I figure I'd go ahead and give an opinion, or two.

To be honest, I agree with most of what you said and it is pretty much what Jersey has been saying. I don't think you can say these high branding is nothigh fashion. LV started this branding/all-over print deal with their luggages and bags even before it was relevant in the clothing industry and it truly ishigh fashion in that sense. Sure, they make LV buckles and Gucci monogrammed jackets that scream the brands name but goddamn it, some of they looks reallygood. I always say to myself, I won't be a walking ad for these brands but if they look good, they just look good. Like the LV belt buckle, I wish I couldhate it but every time I go to NM or Saks and the SA has them on with some slim pants and tucked in dress shirt, they just looks good. And in my opinion, youcannot really argue with what looks good.

Now me, I am all for people wearing logo-heavy lines, but I choose the more subtle route. Black Gucci monogram on a black base, little Burberry print on thepolos and the Prada red stripe on my shoes. I'm not going to lie though, I also have some noticeable logo branded clothes but I do not really it makes lesshigh fashion. Fashion is subjective and really based on how a person views it. You may not see Gucci and Burberry as high fashion and see Armani Collezione asone but step out of NT, visit StyleForum and Armani, LV, RL, Gucci, Prada, etcc.. you name it will get ripped apart and people there will just laugh at you forconsidering this high fashion. So it is nothing against you, I'm just saying, it is all relative. Some wants to say: "I have nice, expensive clothesbut no one will know unless they ask>" WHile others prefer the: "look at me, got my money right and I'm letting you guys know." Nothingwrong with either one, works the same way with driving a BMW compared to Honda, both gets the job done, but it's all about showing what you got and canafford at times.

Making sense of the wardrobe and the pieces that go with it isn't high fashion. I mean look at the runway show of these high fashion brands, 90% of thetime, you find no one wearing the exact same thing as they do in the real world. Look at how designers dress, they are smart and makes great clothes butsometimes, even their wardrobe arrangement is very questionable. Which bring back to fashion being subjective. I guess I'm not really disagreeing with, butinstead just providing a different point of view.

As for quality, it is rare to find a company now-a-days that makes great quality products. Even your Armani Collezione (which is Armani's diffusion line)would probably be compareable to Gucci and Prada in quality, probably less. I've had a Burberry wallet from a few years ago and I thought quality wasgreat.

Russ - Thanks I'll check into that.....I got a little buttercup I'm thinking to give that too.
