VICE has awesome news/videos etc. They have a show on HBO friday nights at 11PM, and tons of content on their website. I highly recommend checking it out, if you haven't already. A lot of the topics they cover on are kind of obscure/subculture kind of stuff, but also a lot of stuff that is just plain scary - like this video.

i watched the "Chiraq" documentary last night from vice, and i thought it was very interesting. It was awesome because it gave me a view of something i would never have seen had it not been for Vice. Highly recomended.

Chicago has been like this it's just now getting attention because of these guys. It's been like this since the 60s or so. 80s and 90s were the worst I hear. Old heads telling me dudes would straight line up facing the police and light each other up. Picture how they fought in the cival war. This is something different. The breakdown of structured gang activity into thousands of cliques has never been seen before. The murder rate in the late 80s-90s was due to the crack epidemic...because it happened in every major city as well. Now? Part of me thinks it's them just claiming what their fam does and there are so many different sets you can't even keep track of it. You see mouse throwing down 300 then do a track with durk. Under the 5 or 6 doesn't matter.

Yo, VICE is ok... I used to be really high on it, but Fox bought into it and it's turning into this weird, white hipster fascination with people who live substandard lives.
I nearly turned against VICE forever after watching that "Truck Stop Strippers" video... watch it and try not to hate the female hosts. It's impossible. I don't mind that little hipster dude with the glasses, he's innocent.
