Official Oakland Athletics 2012 Season Thread (94-68) AL WEST CHAMPIONS

2 runs was going to be hard enough. 4? Game over. Our offense just sucks and there's too much pressure on these young arms to be perfect every night. I'm not going to give up on this team yet, but we better start hitting soon or this will get ugly.
 
After this week, we get 13/16 against teams under .500 but it won't matter unless we start playing better baseball.
 
Maybe Billy should have bit the bullet and picked up a shortstop after all. At the very least another reliever. This team is out of juice.
 
Colon looking good. Norris, not so much. We got lucky on that error, but I'll take it. One things for sure, this offense looks completely different with Ces in the lineup. Stay healthy man...

Greinke is imploding in the 2nd inning. He gave up 5 walks. :D

Sucks that the Yankees can't take care of their business. I thought they'd be able to handle Tigers. Messing with out wildcard standing.
 
Though Cook wasn't in a save situation, he still managed to give up a crucial run. This dude has issues. What happened to him?

On a brighter side, WE WON! Yesterday was a disappointment, but hopefully the A's finish out the series on a good note tomorrow.

Also, it's crazy. A's still have a wildcard spot, they're currently tied with Tampa Bay. Detroit and Baltimore are a half game out, and the Angels are 1.5 games out. It will be a crazy month of baseball.
 
Anything less than 7-2 will be a disappointment. We NEED to take care of business the next 9 games. I hope there ready.
 
They won't go 7-2 if this bullpen doesn't shape up. It's in shambles and it seems like we're not going to do anything about it. Makes me uneasy.
 
Damn, Chris Sale is filthy. Our rotation is wearing down man. Parker, Milone, Straily, etc. are all pitching a ton of innings. We need BA to come back with some authority, and B-Mac to stay healthy.
 
realisticly lovely but if its what i really want

its gonna be 9-0. say we dont have the potential to do it! bats been deep since all star break.
 
What a horrible inning. Parker really needs to cut down his walks otherwise he will continue to struggle. Our defense is trash. Weeks is really getting on my nerves now, dude can't hit or play D. :smh::x And this offense? :x
