Checkin in for the season. It could be a long one guys.

I really want to see nice seasons from Milone, Cespedes, Reddick, Cowgill, Allen, and Weeks.

Not expecting much though. Will keep tabs on our minor league system throughout the year especially Parker, Peacock, Choice, Green and Norris.

Didn't get to stay up for the game, but doesn't seem I missed much. What are the chances we come home with a split?

Good pitching, offense not there. But it's all good it's just game one, then we go back to spring training for a few games. I think it's an advantage so our players know what to work on.

the a's lead MLB in hr's

first and last time we'll be able to say that, so ill run with it as long as i can =)

That homer by Reddick was way more impressive to me. Ryan Sweeney never had balls fly off his bat like that, I think Reddick will end up being a great upgrade.

Johnny Gomes in a pinch hit roll might come up clutch later on in the season, some power off the bench.

I love watching Bartolo pitch, he looks like he's not even trying out there.

Even if they don't win a bunch of games, this is the most exciting A's team in a long time.

If Pennington can keep producing like he did at the end of last year and so far this season, this is what I'd like to see the lineup as:

Without Manny

1. Weeks 2b
2. Penny SS
3. Reddick RF
4. Cespedes CF
5. Kurt C
6. Smith/Carter DH
7. Sogard/Rosales 3B
8. Allen/Carter 1B
9. Coco LF

With Manny

1. Weeks 2B
2. Penny SS
3. Cespedes CF
4. Manny DH
5. Reddick RF
6. Carter 1B
7. Kurt C
8. Sogard/Rosales 3B
9. Coco LF

I really hope Allen and/or Carter can find their stride sooner than later, that'd be huge for this offense.

. I fell asleep trying to stay up to watch the game, woke up a few pitches before Gomez sent one to the citizens of Japans. Great win.
I just purchased my opening game tickets, Plaza Infield 118 row 28!
