Broskis before Hoeskis.

After the top babyface in the company, John Cena, called Eve Torres a @$+ and  a b****, he got to more serious business later in the show.  Cena cut his best promo in ages calling out The Rock.  I may not agree with the subject, but for the first time in a long time, Cena cut the crap comedy and cut a serious promo without any over exaggerated facials or stupid catchphrases.  He had a clear reason that he wants to face The Rock.  Cena is here every week, no matter what.  The Rock is Mr. Hollywood.  He's walked out on the fans, the company, and the boys in the back to go make movies.  So now The Rock is going to come back like he never left, but Cena is going to prove that since The Rock left, Cena has taken over the top spot and he's the best in the business.  Cena said that after WrestleMania, he'll still be here, and The Rock will be gone back to Hollywood.

It was a damn good promo, but I'm not the biggest fan of Cena's reasoning.  To me, Cena comes off as whining.  He's mad because The Rock used his success in pro wrestling to transition into movies.  He's mad because The Rock isn't on Raw every week.  He's mad because sometimes The Rock comes in and doesn't have time to shake hands with all the boys in the back.  Here's the problem.  First, I don't think anyone faults The Rock for becoming a success in Hollywood, even if it is with a lot of corny Disney movies.  Fans know what happens to 95% of the guys in the business.  They end up broken down, broke old men who tour high school gyms to try and make a living.  We've all seen 1000's of real life examples of The Wrestler.  Second, for some guys you could argue that they used pro wrestling just as a stepping stone for another career.  You can't say that about The Rock.  He loves this business, and he respects it.  He knows the business way better than just about every wrestler on today's roster.  If The Rock didn't love the business, he wouldn't be coming back.  WWE needs The Rock way more than The Rock needs WWE.  Next, if The Rock was on Raw every week, he would of course be the top star, but he would lose the special attraction draw.  The Rock's never going to be a full time wrestler again, so get over it.  Lastly, you have idiots backstage crying about The Rock not shaking their hand or being pissed that The Rock's taking the main event at WrestleMania, a spot they don't think he's earned.  These guys are !!$*$%# morons, no other way to put it.  The Rock is the reason this is going to arguably be the biggest WrestleMania in history.  It's not because of a CM Punk vs Chris Jericho match.  It's not because of Randy Orton in some multi-man match.  It's not because of Zack Ryder returning from his weeks of doom to get revenge on Kane.  I mean really, how stupid can these guys be?  If you want to complain about The Rock, then don't accept half of your WrestleMania payday, because without The Rock being on the show, you would be earning a fraction of what you will be getting.  I have no idea what The Rock is going to say tonight, but I certainly wouldn't put it passed him to not only call out Cena, but to also make some kind of mention to the boys in the back.  Jim Ross, Lance Storm, Dave Meltzer, and Shane Helms have all publically spoke up against the anti-Rock wrestlers.  It's crazy to me to see how many guys in the business don't get one bit about the business.

Last week The Undertaker returned to call out HHH in person for a match at WrestleMania.  The segment was painful early, as Taker was stumbling over his words, and an ignorant crowd was being disrespectful.  However, HHH eventually came out, and the segment really picked up from there.  HHH said that he and Taker were the last of a dying breed, the end of an era.  HHH said that he wouldn't face Taker because Taker is a brand, and destroying The Undertaker is not good for business.  HHH left, but Taker called him back saying HHH knew he couldn't do what Shawn couldn't do.  HHH came back and agreed to the match but only on one condition.  They had to put it all on the line.  The match had to be in Hell in a Cell.  Taker didn't say anything.  He smirked at HHH, patted him on the shoulder, and walked away, just as HHH did to him a few weeks earlier.  So the match is now set.  I'm really looking forward to the build for this match over the next five weeks.  I'm hoping in that time they reveal The Undertaker's shaved head so it's not as much of a distraction in their match at Mania if that would be the first time he drops the hood.

We had the battle royal of doom to end Raw.  First, after The Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches, the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania was determined by a impromptu 10 man battle royal on Raw.  I can't believe this is how they set the Raw title match for Mania.  As I said last week...  Jericho should have come out calling out Punk for hitting him with a cheap shot in the Elimination Chamber, knocking him out of the match, though he was never officially eliminated.  Jericho would demand his rightful shot at the title with a match at WrestleMania.  Punk would laugh him off saying Jericho had his shot last night.  Jericho would say that if Punk wanted to prove he's the best in the world, Punk needed to beat him because Jericho is the best in the world.  The two would then have a pull apart brawl, with Punk finally accepting the challenge.  You now have a match to determine not just the WWE Champion, but also the actual best wrestler in the world.  Instead, Jericho backdoored his way into a battle royal win.  Jericho and Show were on the apron, when Cody Rhodes pulled Show out of the ring.  Yes, that's how the #1 challenger at WrestleMania was determined.  Hopefully we get some great promo work out of Punk and Jericho tonight.

I called it the battle royal of doom because of the injuries that came out of the match.  Truth and Barrett were on the outside.  Show threw Ziggler out over the top rope.  He threw Ziggler too high.  Barrett and Truth tried to catch him, but Barrett fell, getting his arm pinned between the table and ground, dislocated his elbow.  Barrett was immediately screaming in pain.  Ziggler's head hit hard on the announce table, but he seemed to be ok.  When Kofi got thrown out, he landed right on the ring steps and fell awkwardly to the floor knocking over Vickie Guerrero at ringside.  When Santino was eliminated, he was thrown right onto Barrett's injured arm who was still being helped on the outside.  Cody Rhodes injured his quad at the Elimination Chamber and clearly re-injured it on his fall to the outside as he was noticeably limping.  Battle Royal's are supposed to be safe, easy to work matches.  I guess it was just bad luck, but it was crazy how many dangerous elimination spots these guys did.

They are teasing another CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan match tonight.  I certainly won't complain about that.  There also seem to be two tag teams on Raw now, Ziggler/Swagger and Truth/Kofi, so they'll probably have another match.  We'll see if they advance things in the John Laurinaitis and Teddy Long storyline battling for control of both Raw and Smackdown.  I wouldn't expect their multi-man match to be announced for another week or two.  Lastly, we'll see if they do anything with Beth Phoenix and possibly Kharma tonight.  Over the past weeks, there were rumors that Beth's match may get bumped off of Mania.

Looking forward to Raw tonight, hopefully it doesn't dissapoint.

Since this thread has the rock in its title watch it blow up to about 40 pages tonight

Been watching a couple of past Raws through my DVR and been fast forwarding through a lot of crap. However, Triple H and Undertaker have me glued to my screen every time they're on. They've been money with their promos and you can feel them talking from the heart about them being the 'last of their kind'. I love how they're doing it and when it's out of the writer's hands.

Eve's acting these few weeks.

at the Twitter references.

I'm expecting The Rock to ether Cena tonight, while Cena attempts the counter-ether. Where is Raw airing from tonight? I'm hoping it's a full pro-Rock/anit-Cena crowd.

Last weeks wwe shows werent bad. hopefully the trend continues. This whole Eve/Zack Ryder/Cena crap is the worst thing in wwe. i can put up with the farting gimmick of natalya and all that but not that zack ryder garbage.I think he sucks and eve is garbage . i do like however the promo cena cut on the rock last week so i am excited to see what happens next. All in all looking forward to raw

I know he can't move like he use to and there will be ALOT of "rest spots" but name one Taker HIAC match post 2003 that wasn't great.

QFT and fixed.
i don't think it's the fact that eve is unattractive but more or so just kinda frail and generic looking. kinda like an exotic Kelly Kelly if that makes sense.

it's weird but, i found her more attractive last week acting the way she was and out of ring gear than any other time i've seen her.

still wouldn't pass though.
