Wrestling Thread Feb 27-Mar 4 | 3/4 ROH 10th Anniversary Show iPPV - Briscoes vs Young Bucks (p36)

Mark Henry had so much momentum on his side, and this is how Vince treats him? The man was unstoppable, came across as a legit threat, and for once I saw him as a main eventer.

I know the consensus of the thread was SMHing when Vince continued to put Henry in matches when he was clearly not 100%.

I never liked Taka, but I always thought he was a really good worker that as long as he had the right partner could tell a very good story in the ring in a short period of time..

Just saw this posted on rsn..

WWE has published their 10-K report for 2011 and it includes their wrestling contract with Paul Levesque (a/k/a Triple H). The new agreement went into effect January 1, 2012 and expires on March 30, 2016, when he is 46 years old.

Highlights:

* Levesque will be paid a 'Minimum Annual Compensation' of $1 million for each year under contract.

* Levesque will be limited to 180 dates per year, unless both parties mutually agree to extend beyond that number.

* Levesque cannot work or perform in any capacity for any 'martial arts' organization while under contract.

WWE Intended For The Rock To Look Weaker On Monday's RAW
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.29.2012

They need Cena to be strong for Wrestlemania...

It was the WWE's intention for John Cena to get the upper-hand in his feud with The Rock on RAW. What Cena said, how long he spoke and The Rock's reaction were all part of the plan.

Many in WWE still believe, however, that Cena pointing out The Rock's crib notes on his wrist was not scripted and something The Rock didn't expect.

WWE officials want the crowd to be split 50/50 at Wrestlemania 28 in Miami, which will require Cena to look stronger leading up to it in order to get the crowd on his side.

This just shows how clueless "experts" are...............

-Miami is Rock's hometown (Meaning he wont go over)
-Fans are SET in their ways in regards to Cena, matter of fact Cena has some real identity issues, one week hes tries to be a rapper calling Eve a hoeski, the next day hes a make a wish man , A couple of promos in back to back weeks will not sway the "Cena Sucks" crowd, if you are under 12 you root for Cena................PERIOD
-Morale would be at an ALL time low to have Rock who basically has appeared on WWE TV a total of 3 times in a WWE year (WM -WM), go over their workhorse/Cash Cow Cena......Last time Morale was low in this company was after the Montreal Screwjob, they dont have a Stonecold character waiting in the wings to "resurrect" this company.....

I have been watching wrestling longer than most of you....................(20 + years),Some of you display the ILL battered wife syndrome, other than MITB cash in's, Punk's "shoot", the occasional huge botch,  this has been a pretty predict mundane predictable Company for the last 8 years..... WE "expect" these big creative things to happen i.e Cena turning heel, Sting vs. Undertaker, Some Crazy Surprise Wrestler to appear @ the Royal Rumble................but it NEVER happens.......As long as Vince is at the helm, he will continue to  run the industry to the ground............

Violence among men= PG?

Dont let me get into my Undertaker rant, this thread would be full of stupid gifs if I go there.....................

Ditto though. I soured on Otunga towards the ends of his A-List character, when they seemed like they were neutering the hell out of him,

but on top of improving here and there in the ring, dude has really been on point with his new gimmick. I am...a....fan? Yes.

No one truly expects Cena to turn heel (Ever). The Taker/Sting situation turned into a large inside joke here. (Although initially when we were hyped, it truly DID almost happen. Smart guy)

Anyways, you write a lot. But all I see is...

Anyways..

Have a great weekend, gentlemen. Enjoy

Saw this on Facebook through Wrestle Wire:

According to an article on GameBandits.com, representatives from THQ recently reached out to former WWE Attitude Era stars, who aren't currently under contract with WWE, for inclusion in the WWE '13 video game.

They mentioned Sean "X-Pac" Waltman as one of the names who THQ reached out to and reportedly, Waltman was insulted by the offer.

^^^Heard about that. Supposedly it's lower than a normal "Legends" contract that usually gets signed.

20120227_sd_bryan_orton_c.jpg

Match Number One: Sheamus Vs. Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie.

Match Number Two: Heath Slater Vs. Santino.

Match Number Three: Natalya Vs. Eve.

Match Number Four: The Big Show Vs. Mark Henry.

Match Number Five: Drew McIntyre Vs. Justin Gabriel.

Match Number Six: Randy Orton Vs. Daniel Bryan (C) w/ AJ, Non-Title Match.

They better have Razor Ramon in WWE 13.

JR and Jerry Lawler are going to the announcers for the game. A part of me wishes they included Booker too.

-looks like dolph still a member of the J.O.B. Squad.
-wouldn't be surprised at all if slater gets the W to continue to deter santino from being too over with the fans.

-so a couple of fart segments and now natalya is a face? divas change alignments more than abyss.

-just 4 months ago big show couldn't even match henry and now show is beating him on a weekly basis. and the sad part is, show will win even with the cody rhodes interference.

-repackaged drew debut?

-so bryan has been the WHC since December and his only clean wins have been against santino on smackdown and santino at EC. God forbid you make your champion look like a credible champ once in a while.

i expect a DQ or No contest finish.

i'll pass tonight.
