...AND I don't mind the top 10 list. The threads been slow anyway, just wait when the Cheetoshes comes out. Mint FB's craziness all over again...

Saw the Iggys at Champs and wasnt event excited as I shouldve been :rolleyes I know it sounds impossible but I'll wait to see if a deal pops up on here for them.

been away from the thread while travelling in Brazil, Argentina and a quick stop in NYC..

It turns out they do have quite a few roshes in Brazil, full size run of all FBs, including the mints, also most of the wovens (black, white and also the grey!) and lastly they also carried the canvas roshe in black, white/grey, navy and "calypso". Almost all of these were seen in the huuuge NikeTown in Rio, if you ever come to Rio check out the Niketown, selection is sick!

Anyway, after being away for a while I was a little curious whether there have been any news on some of the OG cws getting re-released, I read something about calypsos and perhaps Stadium Greens, any news on this?

I want to preface my comment by saying that I respect that list and everyone is definitely entitled to their own opinion and own personal taste. Maybe I'm looking too into it, but I think that list (which was based on votes, so let's keep that in mind) is indicative of the current Roshe sneaker as a whole and what it has become.

Regarding that top 10 list, it's interesting to note that only 3 are Roshes that have the OG mesh material and colorblocking style—Gamma Green at #9 (close enough despite the eyelets), Calypso at #7, and Sport Red at #2. One of the reasons I became a fan of the Roshe was because of its simplicity in design. That's not to say that the other 7 sneakers on the list aren't driven by simplicity (I actually really like the Tokyo Mid and Black/Mint FB), but there's definitely a lot more going on, design-wise, with those 7 other sneakers.

The concept behind the Roshe is all about simplicity (see: http://www.howtomakeit.com/2012/04/exclusive-the-story-behind-the-nike-roshe-run/), and it just seems like all these recent designs (e.g. a lot of the ones that made that top 10 list) have strayed away from the initial concept and inspiration behind the Roshe and what made it a unique sneaker. However, based on that list and the growth of this thread due to the Black/Mint FB, it seems like a lot of consumers (or "sneakerheads") became attracted to the Roshe once Nike started making "louder" colorways—not a bad thing, just an observation.

Overall, still love the sneaker and it's just my observation regarding the Roshe sneaker as a whole.

For anyone in the Pittsburgh area my local champs had FSR of Iguanas and Sport Reds. Picked up the Iggys, passed on the Sport Reds because I have Team Reds already.
