Yo you guys are acting like Swisher was an All Star. Yeah he was a solid player, but the A's are in rebuilding mode. They got the White Sox' two bestpitching prospects and their best outfield prospect from Triple A for Swisher. You need to put personal feelings aside and look at the bigger picture. I mean,were you guys actually expecting the A's to compete this year anyways? Man, I've never seen such an uproar over a career .251 hitter that strikes out100+ times per year.

Losing Scutaro wasn't enough.. Billy had to go and get rid of Swish.. This sucks. Haha seriously, we all don't understand Billy.. but it will all makesense.

Swish may only bat between .250-.260 but he can give you 30 bombs easily. Look at the season where he had Thomas in the lineup with him. He is going tobe really good with the White Sox. And as far as Beane being wrong? Well the Huddy trade was BAD, Byrnes trade wasn't great, he signed Chavez instead ofTejada....what i'm trying to say is that Beane ain't as great as some people make him out to be.

I find it hilarious that some of you A's fans were attempting to rip me after the Haren trade when I made the comment about how the A's are a secondclass organization. This confirms it. Another money driven trade that weakens the team in the process in hopes that in 3 years you might be competitive. Havefun competing with Texas for 3rd place in the division for the forseeable future.

They gave up two very good pitching prospects... Seems a little steep, IMO.
Really it was just one pitching prospect because De La Santos is far from being major league ready

Swisher was a good dude
. he'll be really well liked with the white sox. he gave really good interviews.
I don't like Beane's crap...some of his moves have been great but a lot are just ehhhh. He does enough for the A's to make the playoffs...but tolegitimately make a deep run to the WS? i'm not so sure. altho we did finally get past the 1st round in 06, haha

Milton Bradley was the source of the A's offense in 06, and when he was healthy in half of 07, to say that he was garbage means that you obviously haventbeen following this team at all. Milton is such a passionate player and gives it his all at every AB.
and Kendall was garbage? Please. When it came to hitting, he was not the best, but he's one of the best in the business when it comes to defense andworking with pitchers. Look at what he did with Haren, Zito, Calero, Street, Duchscherer, and others

They are building up for a good playoff team for when the stadium arrives. Thus, the whole firesale thing they have going on

Beane is ruthless... getting rid of 2 fan favorites does not bode well with fans at all. I'm still going to watch the games and root for them but theirroster looks practically anonymous now

Then I remember why I don't even bother caring about baseball much anymore. Why bother living and dying for a team that operates like this. You've gota good gm and good young players, but you can't keep any of them.
