IMO the bull above the name ruins the jersey.

They obviously mean any major overhauls.  And yes, if that were to happen I probably would die.

I also dislike the minor changes.  I don't like the logo above the names.  I don't like the alternates saying Chicago instead of Bulls.  I disliked when they went to a shiny material before.

Nike does a lot of great, innovative things.  But sometimes messing with a classic design really %$$@% things up.  One good example, IMHO, is lakers jerseys.  I HATE that style (same as the heat) and prefer their previous, classic iterations so much more.

I love that most Chicago teams stay with a classic look, and I hope that never changes.  I literally would not purchase any merchandise with a changed logo or design.  I hate the logo and design of my college, DePaul, that I only buy merchandise WITHOUT the current logo.  Sadly, nothing is ever made with the old logo anymore...

They Lakers and the Heat are both in need of another change.  I think LA should go back to an updated version of their classic uniforms.  I think Miami needs a complete overhaul.  I'm still shocked they didn't get one when LBJ came to town.

30t6p3b  That isn't going to work for me or many others in Packer Nation.  I am all for going crazy with team gear and warmups/NFL equipment stuff- even accessories- gloves, hats, blah blah blah, but don't mess with the UNIs one bit.  Patch placements, seams, slight stripe things- thats fine- but if it ain't broke, don't fix it- i.e. Packers, Steelers, 49ers, Cowboys, etc... If I had to guess, Denver, Seattle, Jville, Carolina, and maybe even Houston, TB, Miami, ATL get some funky stuff going.  Curious to see it.

They will be fine.  Can't wait to get a new #12 authentic.

Lies. Only the Seahawks and panthers are getting a whole new look. Most are minor tweaks for this season, but an overhaul is coming over the span of years under the Nike contract. I don't think any of the traditional teams are changing again except for the dolphins which won't be this year.
Also read the jags are going back to the black jersey as their primary and will be the forefront of the overhaul starting in 2013

Can't wait to get a brand new Willis jersey.
Will be interesting to see who gets a new look entirely, if anyone does. Gonna need that AP authentic..

they actually havent changed the design. material change is different, and the bull above the last name is a nice touch. just like the celtics with the clover. you cant have a totally plain jersey in the nba anymore, its kinda ugly.

Am I the only one hoping for big change? Not talking too drastic of change but just to make them look more modern or even a little futuristic. Look at all the unis during throwback week. All those "classic" teams had throwbacks too: Packers, Steelers, Eagles to name a few. I love ALL the throwbacks by the way. I don't think they should place any restrictions or tone down their design just for a team with long tradition. Just look at what they did with the college teams, Ohio State especially, one of the most prestigious college football programs. I love what Nike has done with the college unis and I don't think they can go wrong with the NFL jerseys. Can't wait to get my RG3 jersey smiley: grin

I'm not even worried about the designs...I just want a much better fitting authentic than the RBK crap. RBK was way too big and baggy so I hope Nike goes the route of the college jerseys with material and more form fitting.

Prime example...their Combat jerseys are terrible...VT, Miami, FLA, BS, and Oregon are the only decent one's...and as a Cowboys fan...i find myself amused that you would truly want a jersey change for the Deadskins...you must be a youngin. Old heads want no part of a change...

I want to see the quality of the authentic jerseys for retail, hopefully it's pimp.gif

I didn't like all of the combat jerseys but was just comparing a program like Ohio State to an organization like Green Bay to their respective league. Not sure if you would count me as a "youngin." I'm 25 and been watching the skins through their heyday and their worst. But I think you're right that the old heads don't like change and the youngins like everything fresh and eye-catching... but to each their own I guess. Either way Nike has made everyone curious to see what they're bringing out for the new season. I bleed burgundy and gold, but I don't think the colors are that visually pleasing so I'm excited to see what Nike does with that color scheme, on and off the field.

Guys

From what I've been told, the "old" teams (Packers) will have the ProCombat Treatment on their THROWBACK uniforms. Look for the Packers to still look like the old Packers just with "newer" materials and refined designs. Just try to think about that.

I've only seen apparel and the New Era Hats and THEY. ARE. MAGNIFICENT !!

The Ravens Spring Football Fest is in April. Will probably be the Saturday of the NFL Draft.

I'm glad that the NFL switched to Nike. I hope the NBA will do the same.

"Just hope my Cardinals get a matte black helmet. Oh and Peyton Manning..."

That would be cool...
for my Steelers, who are too traditional in my opinion, I would LOVE at least this yellow-red-blue undershirt sleeve that reflects the logo:

Finally, I never could get myself to buy any jerseys because of that hideous reebok symbol. Now I'm gonna get my whole squad.

I think too many people are thinking DESIGN change... but as mentioned look for the LOOK and FIT of the Uniforms to look more sleek and FITTING. Players will LOVE the look and feel. Nike has been working and working out the Cooling system for Shoulder Pads and Uniforms which some may remember Oregon testing.

Everything Oregon has or has had will be what the NFL see's this season. But look for Oregon to pull even MORE recruits by now having exactly EVERYTHING Pro's have as far as tech and type of uniforms in material use.

Every team has seen alternate options for Throwback and Retro type games. Not sure which have opted for what. For those thinking the Cowboys will stand pat.. you dont realize Jerry and Phil are GREAT friends. The Cowboys were the first team to buck the Riddell trend years ago and have Nike backing by having Nike banners all over their stadium.

Under Armour is preparing NOW for the competition of taking over the NFL Contract in five years.... its about to get serious...

Rock

Gonna be tough. Hearing coughTHEYcough might be going in another direction in other sports.
I just hope no team gets a ridiculously bright uniform. Like the seahawks getting something in neon green.
Im sure the design/branding for each team will remain the same. It's just the materials, cut, and tech of the unis will be different. Unlike Oregon, Nike doesn't have a say in each NFL franchise's branding.
