I got burned and ended up just eating it, for Christmas my girl got me a custom New Orleans Saints Devery Henderson jersey, and when I took a good look at it, I realized that numbers have a bit more of a metallic sheen to them than the Drew Brees Elite I'd picked up.

It's hard to tell from iPhone pictures but when you put it side by side you can see that the numbers are slightly different, even though I don't think they're quite the same as the ones Reebok was using the previous season and they're thicker than the ones from the Limited jersey. I'm not sure if it was a late season thing that they were retooling the numbers (it looked like the numbers changed slightly on tv) or if they just used what they had laying around at Stahls, but by the time I realized that it was really wrong, it was too late to make a return and Henderson's future with the team seemed dubious at best so they'd probably just claim I wanted to return it since he wasn't going to be on the team.

Since they FINALLY got the custom white jerseys available I may try again with this season, but I'll probably do it earlier in the season and will be going over it carefully when it comes in.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to wait a few more weeks for updates on NDC and the official FalconsGear site before pulling the trigger on a SJax custom.

The difference in numbers/ twill is due to the vendor used by nflshop vs Nike. I don't know the exact name of the vendor nflshop uses but I have found them to be of poor quality for raiders jerseys. Nflshop twill tended to bubble and had a slightly different shade of silver. The raider image uses eps and the quality is much better. The Nike elites are like the eps customized raider image jerseys (again I don't know who Nike uses).

So if you had issues with nflshop, chances are they won't be corrected. Nflshop has used the same vendor for many years now.
 
nflshop uses stahls. I checked with my local shop to see if they even offered customized ones and they don't. Too many fans in the area prefer to just get $30 specials so finding anything in a tier better than limited is tough.
 
I know a bunch of people on here got RG3 throwback jerseys last season directly from the team store website. Would you consider the quality of those numbers and stitching the second best option to NDC? Basically do team stores use their own vendor for customization (not Stahls)?

depends on the team and how demanding the fan base is. The New Orleans Saints team shop is pretty awful with the limited amount of product they carry, the higher prices on elites and them trying to pass off those reebok replithentic throwbacks as a Mitchell and Ness. Seeing all of that combined there's no way I'd give them my money.
 
I don't know about the small vendors but IMO EPS is the best. Their work is on par with nike direct.
 
check your local ross stores. been seeing a bunch of raiders/chiefs/falcons nike NFL gear hitting in socal lately. tons of the dri-fit grey plain ""insert team name" Football" shirts and the sleeveless grey dri fits as well. also seen some of the nike polos for the teams. if they had rams stuff i woulda been all over it. the shirts were only $12 polos were $20 i believe.

Check out your local Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I just copped an Urlacher Bears 2012 Alternate Jersey that retailed for $135 for just 24.99. I also saw Home and Away but all I saw was big sizest XL/XXL.
 
In Buffalo, I've seen a lot of Nike NFL gear from last year at TJ Maxx/Marshalls.. but no jerseys. At the start of last season, we got a bunch of Mitchell & Ness Bills jerseys in, but obviously all the good sizes flew. 
 
I wish they'd put our an elite jersey option for Buffalo in general... and not a crappy customized one on NFLshop.com that has crappy numbers sewn on
 
Does anybody know of any online retailer that accepts coupon codes on jerseys?  Trying to get a Fitzgerald or Peterson and no one ive seen will accept coupons. 
 
Can this thread be updated to 2013? Might lead to some more contributions. Anyway I've read the reviews of the Falcons authentic throwback from nflshop and they were pretty bad. The falcon logos on the sleeves are screenprinted and not stitched. The numbers also have issues after washing. Are the logos on the sleeves supposed to be screenprinted on all the jerseys? A high res photo shows the panther is definitely screened on Cam's jersey but I can't be sure about Matt Ryan's.

Finally pulled the trigger on a Aldon Smith Elite, I was debating whether to go with elite or a limited since there is not much detail on the Niners jersey, but went with the elite, hopefully that price differential satisfies me, for anyone looking to purchase a jersey, Fanatics has 10% off with the coupon code "tsmill10" plus they offer a 10% rewards cash back program you could use on there website, pretty cool I'm going use that rewards money towards a Kaepernick Limited for the lady, after the discount the elite came to 244 with 22 fanatics dollars and 12 bucks back with ebates.

I seen niner elite, you can tell the difference because of the cut. An elite for my raiders is rip. We are still using the old cut

i would say, if its screen printed on the elite, its most likely screen printed on the player jerseys as well.

the throwback is sick

i still want a calvin authentic but not gonna pay a lot for it.

anyone remember the dude last year who made a thread saying he could hook everyone up with nike elites? never heard from him again :smh:
 
Just received my Aldon Smith Elite from fanatics, everything look great until I came across some glue stains on the name, now I have to go through the hassle of contacting customer service and shipping this back smh.
