its 2012, different materials. Lighter jersey, more ventilation.
NFL jerseys have changed as well and will change again with Nike.
the reason people hate adidas is besides the actual game jerseys they plaster the stupid 3 stripes on every single thing they make and some crappy designs as well.

Adidas doesn't have ANY up on Nike except with Techfit Powerweb shirts compared to Nikes normal compression shirts.
I've played soccer in both Adidas soccer jerseys & Nike soccer jerseys...Adidas have the most unconsistent fit & don't breathe nearly as much as Nike does.
Quality is easily identified without being a rocket scientist.
Nike will only make NFL jerseys better.

As for Darren Rovell... I LOVE LOVE LOVE that dude... but even HE who is an AVID Nike insider didnt provide any newer info that HMACK and I did.
Also... what ISN'T talked about is what was PRESENTED to ALL teams as Alternates and UPGRADES to their CURRENT Uniform style were UNREAL....
As indicated Helmet styles were also presented as add on's to the Pro Combat offering and Im not sure if they will be revealed as to not add pressure to teams who aren't considering such a drastic change..
HOWEVER since the league was willing to do throwbacks... there could be a Pro Combat weekend or two thrown in down the road. THIS will be featured on Monday, Thursday and Sunday night games so Nike can maximize the exposure.
It will also or should I say IF accepted may be shown between big rivalry games...
With the new Sublimation tech Nike uses on their material the removal of tackle twill adds to the lightness and four way stretch of the Jerseys and Pants.

chafing? lulz you do know when NBA swtiched from Nike to Reebok they are essentially the same materials. dont believe me go compare them. the dri-fit was essentially the same thing.

When Reebok first took over the uniforms were exactly the same. They basically just switched the logos. Even the swingman replica jerseys that were sold were identical in material to the Nike ones. Reebok did the same thing when they took over the NFL in 2002. I've actually seen a pair of Jerome Bettis's game worn pants that actually still has a Nike logo with a Reebok logo sown over top of it (the Steelers wore Nike from 1997 to 2001). However, as time went on Reebok/Adidas starting introducing their own materials into the uniforms. With the Nike switch this time though, it appears Nike will change the materials of at least the jerseys. Some team, particularly teams that wear metallic colored pants might not want to switch to the dull colored pro combat material for their pants.
