2017 NIKE NFL Apparel, Footwear & Jerseys

Just went through my collection. I have like 5 customs I didn't realize were customs :smh:

I took some comparison pics if it matters for anyone. The numbers on the front, back, and sleeves are different. The names on the back are different also.

buccaneers do it all the time except rare cases. the white been their home uniform since the redesign

Jets wore white at home for the first 2 or 3 home games this year iirc. Def due to the heat.

bigj505 bigj505 Most teams only have 1-2 premade players nowadays and the rest are customs it seems. Thx for the pics. After seeing the Jets custom from the NTer a few months back, ive been holding off on getting new nfl customs. Still not sure how to feel about the customs [emoji]129300[/emoji]

thanks man.
i admit, i do feel some kind of way about the customs. not mad or anything but like i dont have the real deal holyfield, you know?
this is only my 2nd year collecting NFL jerseys and my 1st year was mainly the limited ones where this year has been elites so its definitely a learning process.

im glad for guys on NT because ive been learning and this is definitely a learning experience for me.
im also glad i know the history behind the jerseys and that they are authentic just IDs but im also sad because they arent what i thought they were.
i do know that i figured the allen and maybe the hopkins i have were customs but i didnt realize that the white berry and carr were customs also.

im sure my mike evans is a custom too BUT they used the nike letters since the style wasnt part of the reebok era but the name on the back has the same custom stitching style as my other customs.

ultimately, i got great deals on the jerseys and would have probably purchased them anyways but wanted to contribute my 2 cents to the custom vs factory photo gallery on here.

plus the whole mesh vs twill stuff ive been learning about in the nba thread doesnt make me feel so bad

I wouldn’t have an issue with the NFL shop customs if there weren’t such noticeable differences between a custom and pre-made player. In theory it should be the real deal if you’re ordering it from the real source. Some/all of your customs may have initially come from the NFL shop. But it turns me off when a custom Cam Netwon from the NFL shop is different from a premade Cam Newton (like we saw a few pages back).

NBA is a lost cause at this point  the twill numbers imo do not look good and Adidas does not care how we feel.

My guess is that fanatics or some group using data analytics determined that it’s cheaper to not premake 5-6 players for authentics and offer customs instead. And it wouldn’t be a problem if the customs are of the same quality, but they’re not. Although the Texans jerseys you posted look pretty close, so how close is close enough?

And this is the part where my head spins and all my friends tell me I’m an idiot for caring too much

 bruh trust me, i definitely, definitely understand and agree. A custom is harder to embrace when you know there is a pre-made version out there especially if its widely available.
I could definitely believe that Hopkins and Carr will be on the pre-made track but I don't think we will see them until we see the next version of the Nike elites.
Not sure if Berry, Evans (10000% cool with this one being a custom since its pretty close), or Allen would be on the pre-made line unless Nike stops being stingy with available players.

price definitely makes a difference to me also since i got them for 1/2 retail and below. had i paid full retail, i would have been irate. also, the jerseys arent jacked up looking so i can sleep a bit better knowing that.

the fatal flaw of the Home jerseys is the sweat is collected in the panels near the waist and back of the jersey

the Jets tend to wear their whites as much as possible since even in the winter games, the jersey on television and on field look awful.

How different is the quality between Elite and Limited? I usually stick to baseball jerseys and the difference between the Cool base for $100 and the Flex base for $200-$300 is minimal and not worth the money.

I want to get a Gurley when they get the 2016 stock in.

Depends on what you are looking for. I started, and still have a few, with the limited and I was cool with them. The elites aren't as comfy as the limited but have the "on field" look.
Exceptions are for teams that didn't go with the Nike elite styling such as the Panthers Falcons and Packers

NFL Color Rush leak. Some people on Twitter say their NFL sources are saying they're fake. Obviously they're going to say that. Prior to this pic I've heard from a few different people about the color rush jerseys & this pic matches up with what I've heard.

The Giants are wearing something similar to their 1933 jersey with red pants.

That's real. I heard that some teams will be changed though. Hate that the Raiders will wear gold and the Eagles wearing silver. It's just dumb. They should do TBT and have every Thursday night game in Throwbacks. That would be real cool. I don't want to see the Giants in half *** throwbacks like the Cowboys were last year.

So is color rush going to be a Thursday night promotion again? Wouldn't mind seeing an orange bears jersey again. Would be perfect for their Monday night game against the Vikings

Every Thursday they'll wear them.

They're changing some of them. Colors were picked before the opponents.

From what I've heard the Giants jerseys will be pretty close to the 1933 jerseys. Not 100% sure though. Our equipment manager posted this on IG the other day. I'm excited for red apparel.

I'd be really surprised if the Texans wore Oiler's blue...

but they are playing the Pats, who are slated to wear red, in their Thursday night game.

hmmmmm
