Air Force 180 High (No Pump) Retro (With Official Pics)

I wonder if Memphis or kentucky are gonna wear those blue ones.... Hmm...

and why no pump? did we lose the rights to the patents?

These are going to be just like the 180 mids

Besides the Barkley OG colorways, the rest sat and I got pairs for under $50. Some colorways I didn't understand they released the charcoal/white ones then a couple of months later release the same thing, but just add some red laces and red for the bubble.

Patents don't last forever. If the pump patent hasn't run out yet, why not wait till it is over.

da david robinsons are still copped...ill throw pause to da barkley colorway until i see em in person.

and this is why alot of Nike retros end up at outlets, alot of poor color choices. with a retro model like this, why stick to these boring colors? make some retro inspired colorways that will get people excited such as

white/teal/pink (like the Solo Flights)
white/grape/ice emerald
white/neon green/ team orange
white/varsity red/ true blue
white/fire red/black

I agree. They kill alot of retros b/c of uninventive colorways. The only ones i want is the phoenix & the white/teal. The rest are trash.

Now it looks like some sort of generic sneaker with the upper ankle padding all jacked up. Do it right, or not at all.. I guess they couldn't justify having a pump look a like with no internal air chamber. So they avoid that controversy and do a half *%&$& approach.

I ended up doing this to my pair I had. they were well worn and I was over the high cut so I cut them down and had them professionally sewn at the top so no foam could be seen.
I really liked them cut down like the pic about.
Wont go near the retro version without the pump system in them even though I ended up cutting it out in my OG pair.
 
the whole pump / enormous collar was part of the appeal... this just looks like any other shoe from nike's 1990s catalog.
 
Yeah. Even without a working pump mechanism the collar gave the sneakers a lot of it's character. I'll probably still get them, but the way they look in those catalog pictures don't make them look like they're worth these high prices Nike is asking for some retros though.
 
I just confirmed retail is $130 today.....

I took some pics of the Blue and Grey pairs today.... will post later....
 
New pics have leaked...Looking good but It's a shame that these won't feature the pump. Still on the fence.
 
Too much of a departure design-wise + presumably poor quality = possibly OG CWs if they hit sale prices and no retro+ CWs.

How many OG CWs were there of these?

I am copping 2 pairs of these with the quickness. I am slowly leaving JB as it has not only become ridiculous but also after this year I'll have my grails. Lebron X looks meh so I'll focus on getting these retro joints to recapture my youth. The c/w on this pretty much screams late 80s. Couple this w/some Cross Colour jeans, a Karl Kani shirt, troop jacket and snapback and call it a day. (not really but some of ya'll will know what I mean)
