lol as if the master of dying would know.

GRRM damned if he does damned if he doesn't, whatever he does is not going to please someone.
for the hard core R+L people at first they'll be like I knew we were right then it will turn in to...why didnt he tell us sooner why make us wait when we already knew

if it isn't r+L
those fans will riot/rage on the net. saying he did it on purpose.

again grrm would have to (which we know damn well he won't because it's not really his writing style) would have to go back in the books and kind of recount all those "clues" and explain why it isn't r+L and whatever it is....

damned if he do damned if don't.

I don't know man. You keep saying that if it is R+L (which it probably is, just accept it already ) that the hardcore R+L fans will be unsatisfied and unhappy.

But I strongly doubt that. You underestimate nerds. Look at how log they waited to see things in the Star Wars universe. Just look at people on this board and reddit. If anything the wait will make everyone appreciate it more when Jon finally learns the truth of whoever it is.

People just want the pay off from their wait. The only way people will be angry is if GRRM decides to never reveal it.

He'd be better off not revealing imo...

Like i said unless it turns out jon can control a dragon (which is highly unlikely to happen. )
If r +l is true is pretty insignificant other than to cure fans curiosity

so after watching that it's safe to assume Bronn is going to be the next death....

i'm also really surprised they did that to Sansa, I thought they wait on the wedding ......
My dude ramsay took it Khal drogo style to her though

we knew they were going to do that to sansa. they consolidated jeyne poole's story in her. things will get worse.

and yeah, Bronn's dunzo. They wouldn't have zoomed in on his arm if he wasn't.

We get to see Jorah in the fighting pits next ep. Also I'm guessing the storyline they're going with is that Jorah gives the slavers and everyone in Meereen greyscale?

Seeing the people in the show thread who are like "glad Jaime and Bronn are still alive!" makes me feel like I'm watching McBane from the simpsons.

"We're gonna live forever."

I feel like Game of Thrones show watchers don't pick up on clues or remember things from past seasons very well.

Just watched tonight's episode and man I was shocked at the Sansa scene. I thought maybe Stannis would show up during the ceremony...then when Ramsey was going to rape Sansa i thought Theon would kill him or something before he could. Nope she just got raped and that was it. I don't know how I feel about Petry and what he's doing, it doesn't seem like a smart move.

man you really don't want r + l = j to happen
laugh.gif

How could you say finding out who Jon's parents are is insignificant? Come one man you don't believe that. The character has been wondering who his real mother is throughout the series and you think not revealing that would be better? Don't you think it's important to the character growth of Jon with or without dragons?

Besides if you think r + l = j is insignificant then if Tyrion ends up being a seceret Targ then you must think that revelation is also insignificant.

What's the deal with Arya's story? They just gonna cut out the part where she's blind? I can understand that it would be difficult to portray on tv, but not only was that a cool part in her story, I thought it was important to her training.

Been saying what littlefinger is doing in the show doesn't make sense to me.. Could be safe layed up in the vale

Let cersei screw things up and wage her little war with the tyrells (then you going have whatever happens in dorne with Jaime).. Let Stannis and the boltons go at it

Then step in when things are cleaner

That episode was a ******* mess...

will write more tomorrow.

Show wise they showed jaime doing that to cersi. Drogo doing that to dani....now ransay and sansa and all of a sudden people are pissed......?

Ive been complaining about this season all month. ....

Ill admit this was a better episode.
It bought together things a bit more nicely.

I almost forgot about mereen and everyone getting sick in the book. So theyre going to give everyone greyscale now?

As far as tone is concerned, it was definitely meant to invoke more disgust than the other two.

I mean, I don't understand why now people would be fed up as if there hasn't already been some terrible scenes before this one.

Might have been the best episode this season. Kind of expected this season to be lackluster coming off last season and going into two books as source material that were pretty dry overall. Hoping things pick up from here. Really want to see what happens in Winterfell.

Little finger couldn't have saw this coming.

Agreed. The fake outcry across the internet is comical. I read a lot book readers say on various forums that they are "never watching the show again".

Sansa wasn't raped. People are confusing rape for rough sex. There's a huge difference.

I'll say Reek is 80% Theon / 20% Reek after watching Sansa be deflowered. Looking forward to seeing the demise of Roose & Ramsey. How & When is still up in the air.

At this point, Arya's storyline is my least favorite, which made this episode a bit underwhelming. And the Dorne fighting scene felt too calculated. My two biggest complaints.

LF playing the Game Of Thrones to perfection.

Cersei making foolish decisions as per usual.

It feels good to not know what the hell is going on in the show now.... I find myself re watching episodes now.

Big ups to mr eko still holding it down.

It feels like the jorah storyline is now the combination of Victarian/connington/Barristen/jorah.... So he's going to spread the sickness around meereen? I wonder if they'll have them run into that red priestess again and she'll substitute moqorro

And that Sansa scene was awkward.... I'm glad they didn't go all out with reek stuff

What was going on in that room wasn't exactly consensual...

Then you get down to Ramsey humiliating her, the fact that she's still supposed to be under aged in the show and that it never happened to her in the book and viewers are fed up with horrible things being done to women and the Stark family in general and you can understand why some people are like ok enough.

I mean even GRRM knew when to ease up. D and D said it's important that Sansa experience this for character growth instead of writing a new character to be sexually abused regularly but... I don't know that I understand their thinking or agree.

Thats a really hard debate to get in to these days when you try to distinguish rape and rough sex......(i dont have a problem with it )
But people these days are hyper sensitive.

In that day and age she was married. And in that age his by rights. Not everyone is going to be tyrion.
She knew what it was. Everyone did. And he got to deflower a virgin. He was dumb hyped

Horrible things aren't only happening to women on the show. The Twitter morality police trend is the most ridiculous aspect of the internet

The dude who got his junk cut off was standing right there... Where was the outcry when that happened

Anybody else feel this show will be remade years from now when the book series is done?

I don't want to get into this debate as I don't want to sway off topic, but what happened to Sansa is technically rape. Just because they are husband and wife doesn't allow Ramsey to do what he did. It wasn't exactly consensual to put it simply.

It was rape..

But back then, marriage was basically akin to a property transaction.. Still sorta is in parts of the world (that's why there are no martial rape laws in fair amount of countries)

Then you had the whole practice of dowry.. Hell, in the bible it says if a husband dies the wife then gets pass onto the brother

I feel the same way. I have no clue how the Sansa/Theon/Boltons/Stannis/Brienne storylines will end, and that's a great thing. Sometimes, change is good.

We must've been watching two separate scenes then. Ramsey didn't rip off her clothes and force herself into her. That's rape. He told Sansa to take off her clothes and Sansa started doing so. Ramsey didn't toss her on the bed while she screamed please stop. She got into position on the bed. The type of sex he performed on a virgin is questionable but it's certainly not rape.

Precisly.

Agreed.

It was uncomfortable for viewers because it's Sansa, the delicate bird, getting manhandled so I understand the public's sensitivity, but we're in the world of GoT, bad stuff happens to good people all the time.

He definitely intimidated her...and I'm sure she wasn't cool with having Theon watch.

Are we really trying to downplay a scene that the show runners and writers clearly wanted us to have a reaction to?

The was some of you guys make it seem, Ramsay just did his thing. As if this scene wasn't supposed to push his villany further.

FWIW, I don't really take issue with the scene. I think it was a very good scene and served it's purpose. People who are acting like this is the last straw for this show are being overly sensitive/ridiculous...but in arguing those people down let's not act like something very foul didn't happen there.
