Maybe Jon won't get stabbed

Here is my thinking

In the books he violates his oath by choosing a side and gives the Nights Watch a legit reason to be mad

In the show the Nights Watch doesn't agree with the move also

But once he gets back and tells them what happened they have to see it's the right move to ensure a chance of surviving

Great point but I'd say about 98% of the NW disagree with the decision to ask the wildlings for help.

The Mutiny is coming.

If they don't say "For The Watch" while stabbing Jon, I'll turn into Tdogg 2.0 and complain to no end.

This, but I have a feeling they wont

The show is building up Olly to be the one to do the deed and it seems like he just wants vengeance, so saying "for the watch" wouldn't make sense if he said it.

God I hope they do though

Yeah I'm thinking the same that it's going to be Olly that does it.

Who was it in the novels?

Hoping we get something, anything out of the Dorne storyline. Maybe they send Jamie back, idk I hope we get Doran's Fire & Blood speech.

Idk what's gonna happen with Sansa. Stannis siege on Winterfell + Theon & Sansa escape?

I'm going to bathe in their tears.

I cannot wait for the reactions.

They've set everyone up with this past episode. Everyone's riding high on the Jon train.

Very good point...but they've been laying it on heavy with Olly.

The whole 'sometimes a man has to do something that looks wrong if it's for the greater good' from Sam and Olly having a moment of inner reflection and replying 'you believe that?'

No way Olly doesn't at least make an attempt.

I'd be upset if they didn't kill Jon at this point just because of the reactions of the Jon fans.

You make an excellent point, but I don't care. Olly & co. must say those words to appease my fandom.

^^^ A small glimpse of my rant to come. Lol

Bowen Marsh is the one that initially stabs Jon in the books.

The Dorne storyline has been a complete disappointment. Hope they wrap that up in the first few minutes in the next ep and focus on the Sansa/Ramsey/Stannis/Brienne/Reek, because I have no idea where that storyline is going.

I still have a gut feeling Stannis dies in Ep. 10. Call it a hunch.

eiopewieqwpiepiqepiqepoqwiepwqeiwpeiewiepiwepiqwepiewipwqe

they are going to do the 'for the watch'.. it's just a matter of when

these are the same guys who basically admitted to liking the jeyne poole and ramsay wedding night and wanted to emulate that on screen.. which is pretty much the only reason sansa is in winterfell.. because it doesn't really make sense story wise for litttlefinger to play that asset with no huge payoff given her value

I mean, I don't know if it happens this season.. since it would seem kinda rushed in my view.. I would rather they have some sort of 'pink letter' moment, which causes jon to assemble troops and want to go to winterfell

maybe they do it after ramsay attacks stannis.. but would still feel rushed with only 2 episodes left

Man I was just thinking. The mutiny will probably not be 100% canon, so what if they do say "for the watch", but they also kill Ghost?

it has to be more than it currently is.. or that will be weak

if dude picks up and decides he's going to go south to try and sansa, then it would make sense.. but just because dudes have petty grievance would be weak

like dude literally just saved their lives by going out and talking to mance, granted stannis showed up and really saved the day.. but still

I just realized that Ramsey taking some men and going stealth mode into Stannis's camp under the cover of Winter is the reverse of Mance's story line.

If Ramsay did that lame ***.. It will be a "Feast for the crows"
Then we deserve a famous line or two from the books.

Ollie is basically the kid from the last season of Boardwalk empire at this point.

We all see it coming from a mile away.

What if we get an episode that is either a whitewalker origin tale or takes us to the far north/lands of always winter?

I'd love an episode showing the Night's King origin and how the whole white walker world works/is. A good amount of the budget would probably have to be used for it though, the lands of always winter didn't look cheap last season

I've always wanted a WW perspective chapter. Didn't know if it was realistically possible, but I'd love some perspective.

they can film in the colder part of iceland and just paint snoop dogg masks white.

snoop_dogg_04.jpg

they should hire me as a production director.

Martin said we'd be going to their home, will learn about their culture, and will learn how their society works.

He also said there's no new POV characters for the last two books so how the hell that happens IDK.

Maybe Weirwood.net

I completely forgot about the arya story line in the end of book 4. That could be ep 9s surprise. When she was forced to drink that stuff then collapsed before she went blind.. I thought she died and that would break the internet also

Killing Ghost in the show is insignificant because Jon hasn't shown any signs of warging unlike in the books.

Granted, I'm skeptical that Olly&co. will say "For The Watch", I'm 70% sure Jon won't call for Ghost when he's stabbed.

I thought about that but I doubt they make her go blind. I think her storyline this season ends with killing Ser Meryn Trant, starting off her imminent killing spree in S6, I hope.

So let's talk about how Melisandre's got it wrong and the "great other" isn't some evil deity but the other side of the same coin that r'hllor shares and good and evil alike garner their powers from it.

I had a conversation with a dude at a party who theorizes that r'hllor, the great other, the seven, drowned and old gods are all the same idea and magic is derived from them. This an idea I generally agree with, and imo it's the users that determine it's good or evil. I mean GRRM likes to borrow from the real world right, and such is actual Earthly religion.

Where he lost me (and we disagreed) was when he started rambling about how in fact the deity is evil and therefor so are jon snow and dany and melisandre and the children of the forest etc etc etc and the non magic users are the real good guys or something. whatever.

At some point in his rant when I kept shaking my head no, he turned to other people in the room and asked them if they think when Jon Snow comes back to life he'll be evil.

No one in the room was a book reader, they all just watch the show.

Lulz were had.

To further support this theory on religion,  the same Night's King origin story, but from Essos:

http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Blood_Betrayal

This is largely why I get so irked when book/wiki readers in the TV thread say "The Night's King is a Stark" when we don't know that for sure. Maybe it is a Stark and this is just how the story was interpreted and changed for Essosi consumption, but who knows yet
