(Spoilers) ASOIAF Books Discussion (All Books Read Edition) (Spoilers)

Your trolling at this point if you still believe otherwise fam

It's not to late ..join the Snow train :pimp:
That doesn't answer the question

Is there any reason why GRRM is taking so long to finish the books?
With the popularity of the show the appearances. The cons. It takes away from writing times.
Still took longer from book 4 to book 5. People are just less patient because of the show.

Ill post in the show thread this afternoon (i never posted during the seasson in there because it moves to fast)
But lets not act like that was the "best ep" just because jon came back. This ep had way too many rushed moments and in accuracies.

I told yall the show will go the eoute of pleasing the show only fans.

Ill discuss the show stuff after work

I think the episode was amazing.

And not even because Jon came back. That final scene was the icing of the cake.

Ramsay moving on Stannis so early in the season means we'll get to see the aftermath. Tyrion had a great moment freeing the dragons. FrankenMountain just being scary. Wun wun slamming dudes against walls. How could you now like that?

The Ironborn story was a bit rushed. Not enough set up.

I would not put it past GRRM to use the next few seasons of the show as a massive feign to make the books all the more shocking.

I mean twow is practically already written and planned out. I think he said the only thing he "liked" that the show did was more LF. Liked Osha &rickon. So we may get more inside

The episode was good. But still feel rushed. And i still feel like they want u to know information (from book/internet) to fill in the gaps.
Also discrediting charachters again (roose) just for show shock

Yeah, I really don't get what Roose was going for with the whole thing. He had to know Ramsay was liable to snap that way if he threatened him being heir.

Then the hug. How'd he not see that coming?

My only guess is we know a by more than Roose does about how much of a **** Ramsay is.

I don't know that book Ramsay stabbing Roose makes sense. Ramsay has two driving motivations: 1. To hurt people 2. To gain his father's approval. Killing Stannis doesn't really make sense because I'm not sold that Ramsay cares about power and control beyond the space it allows him to **** with people and do what he wants. I always understood his playing the game machinations as being to please his dad and acquire more toys to **** with.

How can you say the show has inaccuracies when it's their show?

What kind of sense does that make
You mean their show based on the book series??
Theyre going a seperate way but its still based of the source material. So yes its ok to say that.

Here we go with this attack tdogg mode where yall are going to start making up stuff to use to act as if im a crackpot.....sigh be my guest

Hello tdogg2k tdogg2k

How are you doing ?

How are you feeling ?

Are you okay ?

Do you need any assistance ?

I Love It.

Maybe Jon is secretly Stannis who somehow is transferred into Jon's soul because he's really alive and Meli knew all along because Stannis wasn't killed and Jon is really dead.

Ramsay only spares Roose if there's a daughter. One of them was gonna kill the other at some point out of necessity

Lol my man waited all week to come in here and say that. How'd it feel having me on your mind all week praying that episode would happen?

Love how some have been completely ignoring my points about stannis and all you saw was "stannis probably isnt dead"
My point was never jon ISNT coming back. My point jons evidence for coming back and stannis being dead was the same. Which is/was no real evidence. Just theory.
So it happened now. Thats one theory checked off.
Lets see if the rest happens now...
And i def will still not back off that stannis can still be alive. Jon being alive doesnt change any of my theories

Stannis is still alive
Hound may still be alive as the guardian of the grave.
A+L =J
Dany is still a loser and probably wont make it to westeros

As much as I disagree with Tdogg's theories this statement is basically true

.

If I'm being honest. I needed to find clues through prophecy's and descriptions of certain events and characters to prove Jon is coming back even though we knew he was dead. We saw a body. Stannis on the other hand we haven't seen as much as drop of blood on the snow and 90% of us are confident he's dead.

I will say you kinda brought this on yourself Tdogg for gassing everyone up in the show thread.

Lol @NAKO XL. Will understand this reference, but there needed to be a sasuke of the group where there always needs to be an enemy om. The world.

Lol dudes want my neck in that thread. Ill post soon. Just moves way too fast theres been about 20/25 pages since yesterday.

People go at your neck because they love the Jon character and wanted to believe his story was not done while you kept saying the opposite and rooting for that lame stannis.

 we love the bad guy. They need people like you tdogg2k tdogg2k . What else would we talk about?

Season preview a rando walks into Ramsay's court and says "I come bearing a gift."

Who do you think it is? :nerd:

I hope it's not Rickon, but it could be. My money is on Reek. He said he was going home which some people think he meant the Iron Islands, but nah he went back to Winterfell.

You been watching tdogg2k tdogg2k ?
If so, what you think overall about the direction of the story since we're kind of experiencing this all for the first time.

@Shogun
Damn Right lol Pittman hates my guts I must be doing something right.

@Nako
I would say who ramsay gets is reek (which makes the most sense because he still seems broken)
but it could very well be Stannis.

@Harlem
Yea I'm forced to watch this season because me and my girl had a deal if she watched all the marvel movies in order to be ready for civil war this weekend I'll watch GOT with her this season (damn if she didnt watch like 8 movies straight)

I feel like this season is being rushed. Ep 1 needed to be the way it was I understand.
but ep 2 just felt like they're trying to fit too much too fast in here.

That's not to say that the episode wasn't good. because it was a good episode. def not top 5 as some in the show thread are suggesting (without jon returning, i doubt it would be regarded that high) It would have been better tv if they saved him not waking up giving fans another cliffhanger . then as soon as the ep starts next week he wakes up would have been interesting (but i guess that's irrelevant and it doesn't matter)

But they're skipping, and like ive said before i feel like without my book knowledge or stuff i got from the net a lot of stuff would be lost in translation.
PERFECT example is the show thread. I believe yall are in there discussing Aerys possibly being Tyrions pops. which again. you would not know just watching the show a lone. Aerys and Joanna were never mentioned in the show. but tyrion all of a sudden being able to have a dragon be nice to him.. with never being around the dragons... I think the point was dragons know who the mother was and if your cool with dany you're cool with them. so that could be the reason as well. but stuff like that is why i think they're just kinda throwing scenes out there. assuming people know.

and the bastardization/ dumb down of some key characters is a bit irratating.
Stannis in the show is not truly shown to his best potential (ive ranted about that before)

Roose this is the true tragedy now. Roose is one of the smartest most calculated minds in the entire book. he knows how much of a wild card his son is. So he would've known ramsays motive the entire time. he would have never even had ramsay get that close to him.

GreyJoy story. did Euron Kill Balon in the book? i thought he was already dead.?

I would have like a better introduction to Euron hoenstly..

That's alright tho hopefully we get the true beaast Victarion wilding out on dudes.

overall i just want the book at this point. but the show isn't bad

I do like Jamie in the show also. I also don't remember the extemist religious group really wanting to take over, but it makes sense considering the targareyons had a hell of a time fighting them down to nothing (in the history book)
