Jerry Rice has a problem with Moss sort of

So is Wes Welker.

And about the 23 touchdowns, everyone knows that 22 in 12 (on his way to 29 in 16) > 23 in 16.

None of the Moss fans on here still have an answer for this one........

^ i know. i waited two days, and still nothin

And plus, Rice scored 29 in the season where they won the super bowl. I bet that Randy doesnt even get up to 27.

you gotta give respect to get respect.

KY, that is so true.

I think Rice wouldnt have made such a huge deal about it if Randy said "props to JR", or anything like that. But again, in Randy Moss fashion, it wasabout him.

Quoting JRain's sig...
Moss: "I don't really think breaking Jerry Rice's record was special.
I think shutting you guys (critics) up is what made it special."
Again, about himself. Say what you want about BB wanting Randy and Tom to keep shut after the game. Think what you want about it, but you knowthat BB wouldnt care if they said "its a great record by a great player, and its an honor to be able to break that record... blah blah blah".

But no, instead, the selfish prick goes immediately to the mics, doesnt say a darn thing, not even a mention that Rice held the record, and goes off on hispersonal little rant.

Again, like KY said, you have go give respect to get respect.

Rice is on such a higher level than Randy, that its not even close.

It's pointless to compare the two, both are beasts in their own right and played in different eras.

No kids are allowed to say "Moss > Rice" though until we see Moss play more years. Rice after all was able to accomplish:

1570 yards and 15 TDs at age 24.
1848 yards and 15 TDs at age 33.
1211 yards and 7 TDs at age 40.

That's no joke.

Rice does sound a little salty but it's not that big a deal....the media blows up Moss' comments and we think they are worse than they are. Moss isMoss. And the season he had was one of the best of all time.

Jerry Rice sounding like a bitter old man. Let it go dude, its not that serious. Like Woody Paige said yesterday people have a hard time admitting the factJerry Rice is an a-hole. Its these same people that don't have a hard time chastising Randy Moss.

Which guy caught the most TD passes in a single season? Moss. The record is 23. Its not 22 in 12. It's 23. Theres no guarantee that Rice would have caught another TD pass had that season been longer. So in the end...Moss wins. The record books have Moss on top

I'm just straight up ignore-listing the next person who starts another Rice/Moss debate. We don't need a stupid debate every three days. Do people carethat much about OPINIONS on a message board?

So that in turn makes Moss better than Rice

. So what your telling meis a guy that can't accomplish something in the same amount of time or less that another individual did is somehow superior??

So in the end...Moss wins. The record books have Moss on top...not Rice.
Correction, the record books have the name Rice on it far more than the name Moss.

Yes, Moss holds the record. But the more impressive accomplishment in my eyes is that Rice had more TD/game than Moss did. like i said before, 22 in 12 > 23in 16.

Im not denying that Moss holds the record. Im just saying Rice's is more impressive.

It doesn't really matter if Rice did it in 5 games. The fact of the matter is he no longer holds the record. End o story. Regardless of which one was moreimpressive who holds the record? And no the record doesn't make him any better. So stop deflecting with that BS. Moss didn't seem to care aboutbreaking the record anyways. He just wanted to shut his critics up....which they still won't do as evidenced on here. Everytime you break a recorddoesn't mean you have to "pay respect" to the one who held it before. Moss owes Rice nothing.

At comparing those records to what Moss did. Pretty sure if Mosspasses Jerry on the all-time list you'll get an emotional response from him; that's human nature. You just reaching to find reasons to hate

i'm not comparing the records, i'm comparing the respect given. it's funny when people wonder why Moss doesn't get a lot of respect (as aprofessional) from the media and whatnot. as far as Moss's new record, some on here acted like it was "solidified his goat status"
indifferent.gif
.

i've never really "hated" Moss, but some people make me want to hate him.

like i said, you gotta give respect to get respect. that's all.
