Any word on the NBA ASG Jerseys?

I also loved when everyone wore there own teams jerseys.

And I love the 80's/03 ones.

They should make the uni's resemble the host cities home/away uniforms.
word, i always thought they should do this too, i remember seeing hardwood classic all-star games on nbatv and the game in LA had laker-likejerseys, same with in pheonix and seattle

too bad he won't be in the all-star game this year because of his injury

see the thing I love about the individual team jerseys is that the whole team/city gets represented.

You can point out the Laker jersey or the Cavs jersey on the court and be proud.

But we'll probably never go back to those because new jerseys every year= $$$. (word to the synthetic ball)

Thats exactly hy I liked them. It also let me see which teams I should be paying attention to that I normally wouldn't.

they should morph all the jerseys together to make one for the All-Star game...

they would be the ugliest thing ever though

Yeah, i agree with Outacontrol and Fanatic on that. Its nice to say "hey, they play for my favorite team!", and be proud that they are representingthe team and the city with pride and respect.

But, since they are going to go with new jerseys every year, I really like the idea of resembling the home and away jerseys for the host city. Great idea.

I've always liked the players wearing their respective team's jersey.

BUT, I don't mind either way.

I like the idea of wearing the jersey that is associated with the team Hosting the game.

i.e. San Antonio (kinda)

^ I like the idea of having jerseys made to resemble the host team's jerseys/theme, but those jerseys should be used in the argument AGAINST doing that. Those All Star jerseys are among the worst. Ever.

The ONLY thing that makes them look nice is that someone was wearing Columbia XIs.

I swear, man... Nike made that shoe just for me. Ever since they came out, I have never been without a pair, and hopefully, I never will be.

And I want to amend something I said earlier about every player wearing their own team's jersey. I'm not completely against it; I just don't wantto see it every year. Every now and then would be cool; maybe every other year?

EDIT:

I hope they keep the theme going, and make the jerseys in a way reflecting the city or the team, like last year's Vegas themed jersey.

I am split on this also. I like how the MLB ASG has the players wearing their teams jerseys but you dont really need to see a common jersey to know where tothrow the ball like you do in a basketball game. I can see how it can get confusing if all 5 of your guys are wearing a different jersey.

More like, resembled the court and Spurs logo colors.

huh? isnt the all star game in New Orleans this year? why would they use Spurs colors?

also, Im a fan of unified jerseys...them wearing their regular jerseys was lame to me and made it seem less like a special event. It would be cool if theymade jerseys that looked like their normal teams jerseys, but in the host cities colors, home vs. away. THAT would be pretty sweet.

They could....

Have the players wear their own team's jersey design but, make all of the jersey's the same color----Example, Kobe would be in a Laker's jerseywith the NO colors..

You know that one team wears home whites and the other team wears away darks, right?

Like this year, the game will be in New Orleans, a Western Conference team. So the West All Stars will all wear their home jerseys, and the East All Stars willall be wearing dark jerseys.

You can see it here in this pic from 2002:

The game was in Philly, so the Eastern Conference was home. So the East All Stars (you can see Baron Davis, Jermaine O'Neal, and Ray Allen) wearing white, while the Western Conference (the only one you can see in a jersey is Steve Nash) wore their road jerseys).

Nah they need to make it how they use to, the All-Star jerseys should be somewhat inspired by the city that's hosting the game, but nothing TOO loud likethe San Antonio ones were....I prefer the jerseys being unique tho...

its something about everybody in the same uniform, but individual jerseys having their team logo somewhere on it thats

to me for some reason too...

They should make the uni's resemble the host cities home/away uniforms.
They do this with the MLB BP All Star Jerseys...

still wish MLB would have one set of unis in the real game

I'm torn, with the exception of the 80s versions and the 03' retros, most All-Star jerseys look terrible. But I love the idea of a special jerseyfor collectible purposes. I already got my Sheed jersey, I want another one, know what I'm saying?

But if they are going to keep putting out those redXblueXgarbageXWNBA joints, I would rather all the players wear their own jerseys, at least that LOOKScool.

I actually dig the individual jerseys... I wasn't a big fan of the Vegas jerseys, really. Hopefully they come up with something good for N'awlins.

I've liked every jersey for the All Star game since they've been wearing seperate West vs. East uni's. They all are way different from teamjersey's & have a pretty cool look to them.

I like everyone wearing special All-Star jerseys. I like seeing the new ones every year.

Someone above mentioned having everyone wearing their own jerseys, except that the colors are all changed to match a specific home/away color scheme. I thinkthat sounds real interesting.
You guys remember the 'Black-out' jerseys that were available a few years back? Akin to that, except that they'd be more colorful in home and awayschemes.
