Anyone know if the MC runners are available in any stores preferably in London or Paris? Thanks in advance.

head over to the free flyknit thread for any interest in flyknits with a "sock-like" feel
What you fail to realize is that both the racers/unpadded trainers and flyknit free have the same ankle hence the "sock-like" feel.

LOL

Stay out of this thread and go to the roshe thread.

someone get a little offended? I could call you out for being a reselling tryhard, but I think that has already been covered and this thread has enough redundancy. I have owned multiple pairs of unpadded trainers as well as racers, and I have tried on the free's just to see what they are like, so keep trying to preach like you know everything. Fact of the matter is the unpadded trainer is gone and it's time to move on. Apart from the racer, the free flyknit is the closest thing you are going to get to your oh-so beloved "sock-like" flyknit, it even has a collar. I won't even get into how comparing a sneaker, that has a thick sole, can be as comfortable as wearing a pair of socks alone.

I'll expect you will have six pairs of leopard roshes once they hit stateside, so maybe that thread is more appropriate for you.

Flyknit is meant to be a second skin, go view all of Nike press release videos. To some the addition of the padded heel detracts from that and adds a bulky feel. That makes all the difference for some people but not so for others and thats fine but thats the reason why its a big deal who favor unpadded.

Call me out as a reseller? How am I one? Sounds like someone is envy.

Please go on to the next "it" shoe. Back to the roshe thread you go.

this is my last response to you despite the burden that having pride can bring. I bought roshes upon their release, which is why i have some of the more sought after original cw's, and buying flyknits upon their original release, not jumping on a bandwagon a year later when some "it" colorway releases. I have watched this thread take the same course as the roshe thread, which I no longer even look in to, and have seen tryhards like you come and go. But go on, tell me to do exactly as you have done since you know the exact opposite is true.

p.s. no envy of your six closet trophies as I look like an idiot in 1's

This debate has been on-going since the first time padded trainers came about. My stance is more or less the same as yours and a few others on here. If i wanted padded shoes, I would go buy any other trainer in the nike line. Flyknits originally came unpadded and I wish for them to remain that way. The padding clearly disrupts the natural sock-like feeling of the original version. My trainer career already ended and I'm happy with what I've acquired (minus blue glows and squoias), focusing on racers from here on then.
So the "sock like feel" of an unpadded Flyknit provides is more important to you than the ACTUAL FLYKNIT UPPER?

Let's say from the get-go, Nike made all Flyknits (Trainers, Lunars, Racers, etc) with padding...you're basically telling me you, "would go buy any other trainer in the nike line"

If anybody's answer is yes...you're here for the wrong reasons.

Get out.

Lol I quoted dude, wrote out a nice rebuttal....

And it didn't take!?...

Dammit.

Flyknit upper is a sock like approach, free run flyknit just took it to the actual socklike.

Do I prefer unpadded? Yes

Am I going to spend extra time and money to hunt down an unpadded version of a color way (is white trainer)? Nope

Some of all make this padded vs unpadded thing so much bigger than it needs to be

But to each his own

If you're a flyknit diehard, it shouldnt matter about padding. I hate white shoes, so I excluded myself from all these arguements that was on going for the last 5 months. Imagine if you saw how the toe box used to look on these when production samples first came out during the olympics, you guys would argue about the roundness of the toebox and how it looks compared to todays toebox. If you don't like the shoe as a whole, then you should look for a different shoe to buy. Don't let something petty stop you from owning. Was actively on this thread until my eyes became sore from all these MC racers and padding talk. But I admit....It's funny as hell to see the arguments.

Why don't you guys just start PM'ing arguments to each other? Or you can give out your phone number and call each other. This way the thread can be useful instead of a bunch of pages of garbage.

I don't see why you are trying to start a fuzz here. The general topic on hand was padded vs unpadded flyknit trainers. You targeting my personal preference in sneakers in general is very irrelevant to the debate on hand. The complete statement was 'IF I wanted to buy a sneaker with padding, I could buy any other shoe in the nike line." I don't just buy any shoe in any of nike's lines unless I have a positive experience with it and it appeals to me in multiple ways.

I will honestly say if flyknit trainers originally released with padding and racers didn't, I probably wouldn't have thoughts about collecting trainers and just focus on racers alone (given the fact that I would have tried both on and not just making my decision solely based on looks). Now we can all safely assume that the racer will never become padded as that would defeat the purpose of that shoe. With that in mind, by adding the padding on new batches of trainers, effects of the original intended flyknit was diminished but Nike had to make that move to appease to a portion of the consumer base and increase sales.

If you have seen any of the promotional or interview videos with nike design members of this sneaker, you will constantly hear that the natural form fitting sock/t-shirt like feel is an intend of their design and of flyknit as a choice of sneaker material. Adding the padding clearly takes that approach away.

This. OK stopping with all of this debating now. I just needed to make this very valid point earlier.

I have unpadded trainers. My multi has yet to come in, so I cannot comment on padded trainers.

It is pointless to debate personal preferences.

I just know what I like.

HEADS UP: Apparently, Nike Chicago restocked on the multicolor Racer.

I haven't directly confirmed the news from Nike Chicago, but I saw this tweet:

If you're not aware, Ty is the owner of a Chicago boutique called Leaders 1354. He also posts on NT: http://niketalk.com/u/44369/donjuan513.

Nike Chicago received MC Flyknit Racers. Just called and placed an order for a 9.5. The lady said they have a lot in stock and will be calling people back to complete the full order after you give them your name and number. Said they've received a lot of calls so far.

Act quick!
