My first pair was a pair of MC racers from the initial release. My pops grabbed it for me and gave it to me for my birthday. The man always complained about me getting him back into shoes, but he gateway drugged me into racers.... and my girlfriend... and now my mom. 

My only criticism has been the lack of thicker laces for the (newer) racers; Ribbon laces just come out too easily. 
 
Chlorines were my first purchase.

I'm a flat lace guy too; I've seen a lot of people in the past mention they prefer the rope laces, though. One thing, I've got the volts and they came with rope laces; I couldn't imagine them with the flats and definitely love the rope on them so idk, weird.

received my pair, not really as impressed as I was hoping to be. trainers look better but the silhouette of the racer is my preference.

First pair of Flyknits I got was the original black and white trainers. Ordered them 7.27, the day they came out. They're super beat now, but still one of my favorite shoes.
 
The white medial side killed it for me. The colorblocking works great on the BHM Kobe but not on that racer, imo.

Back in simpler times when dudes didn't call the Black/White Trainers the "101 Dalmations aka Conyays"

The hype will subside, as with all trends. I just hope NIke keeps making them until then. 

Watching restock after restock on the MCs Summer 2013 was great. I remember them restocking on run.com and I was iffy about it. 3 days later they were still there and I was able to cop
 
Im hearing multiple people get new ship dates of Mid-Feb from RRS? Does that mean Nike may not do the FSR until Feb? Waiting for these is getting annoying. Especially when I know they got them! I just received the sz 4.5 for my girl yesterday.

Honestly just be happy you were in a position to get a preorder for a hyped shoe. Whether it's cancelled or not many of us were lucky enough to receive pairs. All these people on here complaining is just funny to me. 
 
My preorder from Dec 2nd from RRS was canceled. And i was able to get a size 4.5 for the gf when i saw it on nike. So now I'm just waiting for this FSR on nike to get my pair.
 
went to niketown to check out the crimson in person. when i called to confirm they had em in store the girl kept trying to tell me they were pink / volt and i kept telling her it was crimson. 

when i got to the store i couldn't blame her, they looked more pink than red. ndc did a great job making the red pop on the site. after checking them out in person i decided not to cop.

i went to another nike store and talked to a guy who knew a lot about the racers. he told me to head over to roadrunnersports in santa monica, so thats what i did. i went to rrs in santa monica and they only stock the light blue / black from a year ago. the sales guy said they won't get any of the new colorways at the physical location and to try and order online. 

at least i got to break in my seahawks today
