wear a 9.5 in jordan 3s and a 10 in air max 90 and jordan 11s. going size 10 leaves me with some extra length in the toebox beyond the fingernail length... should i go with 9.5 or 10? feet are kind of wide

Nope. Bought them for a friend. Wasn't 100% sure what size he needed. Ended up with 3 pairs. 2 for friends, and an extra because of sizing issues.
If I wanted to buy to flip, I would have bought 10+ pairs because there was no limit, and they were available to be purchased.

I'd say a size 10 would be good, especially if your foot is a bit wide.

I took my garment steamer and used that until i saw shrinkage. I put the shoe on and wore it around the house laced up for about 15 min.

I steam them the same way. I let the steam get really hot then I move the shoes around in the steam slowly for about 30seconds and wear them for like 20min. I for sure wouldn't go pass a minute.
