^^^^Just going to say that. have both and I think the Trainers are better and only reason is the volt trainer is actually black on the inside where as the racer is like a greenish. I love the trainer silhouette but it has to have the two tone to make it look good. The volt ones are an exception and it even looks like it has a different color toe since there is black in it.

The red/orange 'Cheetos' cw is actually really dope in person.Not my pics but yeah, definitely get those trainers.
It's weird how the trainers were the initial shoe when Flyknits debuted at the Olympics and then slowly racers took over. At first I never understood the love for racers cause they seemed so small on people's feet like they were some ballerina shoes but I do think the fashion change of pants helped with that whether it be with joggers or tapered pants. Mind you the pics above was pre jogger generation.
It helped that trainers also never got great colorways. I think the only other colorway worth getting was the black and white ones (the more black one). The rest didn't even have that colorway split like the volt ones had.
Can't go wrong with 'Sprite' either.

It was a great marketing scheme by Nike to have all the US players to have them on their feet. I still remember when I got my trainers too cause I thought they were all wearing racers. I went to some mom and pop shot and asked for them and they said they sold out. Then someone said they had one pair left in the trainers in volt and I bought it thinking I got the alternate shoe. Then I check online.....bam!........everyone wearing trainers. Felt like I won the lottery by mistake.

i prefer the Trainers over the Racers
I REALLY prefer trainers over every single flyknit model and its not even close, but i don't care if they never bring back trainers unless its in its original form (unpadded) and minus the horrible color-ways that they throw on the rest of the flyknit based models.

I like the racers a lot. Couldn't really say which I prefer but I do wish Nike would bring back the trainers. They're amazing.

Why? $$$. Racers are cheaper to construct with only one zoom unit.... and seemingly less material. I've had both, and racers seem to require less knit with all the holes and generally more slender shape of the shoe. They were both $150 and Racers keep selling out. It's a no-brainer for Nike.

I wouldnt be surprised if we saw a "retro" of the trainers at some point down the road. Just seems like there's enough hype to eventually do that

the rumors for the trainers being dc'd is that they were a pain in the *** to get out of the sample stage. multiple red flags and such which is why they kept the cws for the trainers to a minimum.
