RRS is a great company. service, prioe and espcially customer service. Its just that these shoes they sort of slip. I will definitely continue business with them. 
 
also wouldnt be surprised if the people who bad mouth them are some of the ones who jumped on this shoe solely because of the MC colorway.

Wouldn't that be the majority of people? I don't recall most people giving a damn about Racers prior to these...

this is how I interpreted it.

there hasn't been a need for me to check this thread in a while. 1) I don't need to know when everyone's racers shipped or cancelled, 2) no new product info/leaked photos have surfaced really, 3) I can rely on kicksdeals now that they know about rrs and the collective thirst for flyknits.

I guess I just miss the enthusiasm & discussion for OG trainers.
 
Well.. here is my convo with RRS today. I understand it was a preorder and I need to be patient, but it has gotten pretty ridiculous.

Ark A.: Hello Tyler. Feel great knowing I can help you today!
Tyler: Hey Ark, I have an order that has 2 backordered items. I was told they would ship July 1st (they didnt) then I was told July 5th (they didnt), then I was told July 9th. Today being the 10th, and I still havent received any shipping info. Can you help with this?
Ark A.: I will be happy to assist with this. One moment please while I lookup the order information.
Ark A.: Thank you for holding. The Nike Flyknit Racer (NIK1505) will indeed ship on 07/22. However, it appears the Mens Nike Flyknit Lunar1+ (NIK1544) is on an extended backorder with no known ship date. There is a rather larger backlog of pending orders.
Tyler: So why keep giving ship dates knowing that it will continue to be pushed back?
Ark A.: The ship dates that are being sent are the purchase order dates established by our buyers. Our systems are designed to email this information, but they are unaware of the number of backlogged orders.
Ark A.: The Nike Flyknit Lunar1+ (NIK1544) has been difficult to obtain as there is extremely high demand, and we are only able to get a few pairs at a time.
Tyler: Should I expect the Lunars to be cancelled since there is no known ship date?
Tyler: And I should probably also expect my Racers to be pushed back as well?
Ark A.: I am confident in the 07/22 ship date. As we will get a large allotment delivered to us, enough to fulfill this order. The Flyknit Lunar1+ (NIK1544) will most likely be canceled, as I have seen several orders for them be canceled during the last few weeks.

So he basically guaranteed my Racers will ship on the 22nd (I'll believe it when it happens...). And said my Lunars will most likely get cancelled (even though I have gotten 3 different ship dates for them).


After this convo, an hour later I get an email with tracking for my Lunars. Racers still 7/22 I suppose. I'm not mad at the delay, I knew I would need to be patient when I placed a pre-order. But what annoyed me was the missed shipping date not once or twice, but 3 times, then to be told that my item would most likely be cancelled. It went from their customer service saying they had no idea when a new shipment was coming in and my shoes would probably get cancelled, to me getting tracking within the hour after. Obviously I am thrilled, but there is some miscommunication going on somewhere.

And to say the people mad at RSS are only interested in the MC, or just got into flyknits because of the MC is ridiculous. I grabbed the Volt and Red/Orange trainers the day they first dropped and have bought multiple pairs since. I am upset with RSS because I kept getting shipping dates that they didnt meet. I dont care if that was MC or any other color way, the MC part had nothing to do with it. BUT, it happens, companies slip up and have delays, a lot of time its Nikes fault and not their own. With the prices they offer to VIP members, its too good of a deal to NOT give them more chances.
 
rrs told me they will be shipping mines on the 19th 100%.

I can't wait for this MC racer madness to pass. With the amount of posts about it you'd think that this is a thread solely dedicated to that shoe.

EDIT: it's funny all the hate RRS is getting. They're actually a pretty amazing shop, yeah they ****** up with this release but they've been nothing but great to me with every other shoe I've bought from them. Everyone makes mistakes, even companies. They'll still for sure be getting my business.

Agreed. I've been a customer at RRS for several years now and these recent pre-order hiccups won't stop me from supporting them. I consider myself an avid runner and always go to RRS for running-related items. Also, I would say that their customer service—both in-store and online—is the best that I've ever encountered in terms of the larger sneaker stores. I've purchased items from RRS before all the multicolor Flyknit pre-order hiccups and will continue to do so afterwards.
 
8.5 Shipped from RW. Who thought that both my RW and RRS order (ordered on 5/29) would ship on the same day :lol:

Agreed. Granted I've never pre-ordered anything from their site but I've been to their brick and mortar multiple times are their customer service is top notch. Got my stride measured and everything :D
 
My running warehouse status:

Order Status : Product Hold - Waiting for backordered items to arrive.

I hope they receive their shipment sooner than 8/2/13

He probably shuffled your order to the bottom of the pile after that conversation.

I think people on this board fail to realize that this is not a massive company and are doing their best to fulfill every single order. I'd imagine it's difficult to fill ALL orders when so many people from different sneaker forums are buying from them. They're trying their best to keep everyone happy.

nah, RRS has a buyer. the buyer places an order for 'x' amount of shoes. A certain amount is allocated to their B&M stores and for their e-store. They more than likely pre-ordred all of their pairs for their e-store and NIKE hasn't fulfilled their order.

RRS cant ship a product they don't have in stock... that's pretty basic logic. They more than likely are getting told by Nike that their order will be fulfilled on such and such day and then they update their customers with new info (the way any professional business should).

But it seems as though nike keeps pushing it back or delaying their shipment. Can't blame RRS for that.

I mean, RRS hasn't even had the MC racers available in their B&M stores...
 
So how many of you guys will actually continue to regularly buy thru RRS once your done dealing with the BS of receiving your Mc Racers.... ?
We got them shipped for $121. I'll be buying from them again if I see a CW i like.
