I'm patiently waiting for a restock of the MC racers. I missed out on a 10.5 at NDC.

awesome, nike shipped my racers. at first i was like no this rainbow thing is not for me - but then the hype took over. boom its true

For people who own both the racer and the trainers, what are some of the big differences? I own two pair of trainers, but I am tempted to pick up a pair of racers.

The first thing I noticed when I picked up my first pair of racers is how light they are in comparison to any other shoe. I thought the trainers were light, but the racers are on a different level.

Also, none of the racers have a padded heel collar so it gives you more of that "socklike" feeling. The racers are also a bit tighter around the middle of your foot. Regardless, I found that going the same size as the trainers fit perfectly for me.

In comparison to the trainers, the racers' knitting has a lot more gaps, allowing for better ventilation and flexibility throughout the shoe. It still feels sturdy though.

To me, those are the only "big" differences of the two shoes. Maybe I'm missing some things that a fellow NTer would like to point out. You should definitely buy a pair of the racers. Trainers used to be my favorite Flyknits but I think the Racers have finally won me over

Aside from the visual difference, racers are actually more comfortable compared to the trainers. Racers have more ventilation as you can see on the toebox as well as the entire lateral side (all those holes). The soles are also different. Racers have more grip and traction versus the trainer. Lastly, the racers are lighter than the trainer by just a tad bit.

I'm the opposite. The Racers feel less stable. My foot feels like it's sitting on top of the shoe whereas the Trainers I feel like my foot is in the shoe.

OP, I suggest finding a store (maybe locate a run.com affiliated store near you) that carries Racers and try them on. Everyone's foot is different.

Anyone messing with these for $60?

edit: I have a $40 or $50 voucher for Wiggle which is why I can get them for $60.

All of the unpadded versions of the "newer" colorways that I have come across seem to be only made in size 10 (which I believe is the sample size for this shoe.) Not sure if this a coincidence or if they actually made size runs. I wouldn't get my hopes up of receiving those unpadded. But it could happen....

I appreciate it man.  I ordered a pair off your photos, and they look all good to me.

Thanks for taking the time to do that

no problem at all man, I try to do what I can to help. I know people have different styles & all that other stuff but any bit helps IMO, and to me that's what this thread is all about
