Was super pumped when the first gen trainers came out and thought I had found my new go to average workout running shoe. Got in unpadded blacks and broke them in for about a week before deciding to go on a 5k run in them. Wearing ankle socks that more than covered my heel I set off, halfway thru I could feel the back of my heels burning but I decided to just push through the pain and finish the run. Got home and immediately ripped them off and my previously white socks were completely stained red with blood in the back. Took close to a month before I could go on another halfway decent run again. Honestly it pissed me off and I complained to nike about it. Sorry if you guys who only wear flyknits for aesthetics got pissed off by them adding padding, but you can't expect to have my same situation happen to a bunch of people that are actually using the shoe for its intended purpose and have nike do nothing about it. It turned me and I'm sure a bunch of other runners off of using the shoe for actually running.

yup that's EXACTLY what happened with me. Was training for a 1/2 marathon in my blue glows, planned on using my volt racers in the actual race since they were lighter. The first week or so was fine, no issues. I started going on actual runs with the blue glows though & my heel ended up getting eaten alive. Bought them for the snug fit but I tried moving my feet around as much as possible to the front so my heel would be protected...HORRIBLE for my toe nails. Tried going 1/2 size up but they were TOO loose & caused blisters...needless to say late august 2012 was a horrible time for my feet :lol:

I ended up returning my trainers & racers both after my experience, wanted nothing to do with them until the padding was added. Running in my lunars is tolerable, I can tell my heel would be a mess if it wasn't for that padding added though because I can still kinda feel the pressure there.

i wouldn't pay anything over retail for any flyknits other than the blue glows or htms

i can almost guarantee you the volt trainers will get restocked this year. when exactly? who knows.
 
Anyone have on feet shots of the Volt/White or Bright Crimson/White trainers? I've narrowed it down to these two of all the cws on clearance but an on foot shot would be cool before picking one

Want a pair of MC Racers in 10.5 - Maybe 11 if people think you should go up a size! I noticed Nike and Run.com removed them from their sites - think they're done selling them? Maybe
 
I am trying to track down a 10.5, maybe 11 depending if people think you should go up a size, in the MC Racers. Would love a link if someone comes across a restock. I noticed Nike.com and Run.com removed them from there sites though. Wonder if they are stopping sales..?
