Ended up returning two 9.5s MC Flyknit Racers at Nike Outlet in Bergen County, NJ if anyone needs. Not sure what their process in upon receiving returns of shoes they don't normally stock.
They won't make it out to the floor. Too many sneakerheads work at the Nike Outlet in Paramus.

How are they stripped down? For example, how are the 2013 Fire Red V's different from the OG's in terms of technology, not aesthetics?

What I mean is that the shoe is basically stripped down and redone in a way that Nike tries to maximize their profit by using cheaper/less material. The shoes were designed in the original way that was tailored to what was needed on the court. Grip/sturdiness/lockdown/etc. When you start changing the materials you lose that combination that was designed for its "intended purpose". Also by stripped down I meant in terms of today's tech. Just take a quick comparison between a LeBron shoe and a retro Jordan. Nowadays Jordan retros come pre-creased (fire red IVs for example) with quality issues beyond the imagination.

Outside of higher quality materials, the over all construction of the originals were just better. A big thing that you will notice is the weight of the shoe and the stiffness of the ankle support on the originals compared to the flimsy, soft retros that are being pumped out. I play ball everyday and would never play in a pair of retros.

This is what my road runner sports pre order status is- anyone have experience with this? It says it is back ordered, but does that mean the expected pre-order ship out date has been delayed... I only ask because I saw earlier in the thread that some folks had trouble with their orders being delayed
Mine say the same, don't worry it's normal

I believe that a majority of these "restocks" are buy backs that nike has done.

When certain companies sit on shoes - mark them down, and still don't sell - nike will buy the product back at a cheaper price than they originally sold to that company for.

There are MANY runner retailers across the nation that prob sat on these products.

Nike buys back at a price that they still made initial money off of - then throw it on their site at a discounted rate, selling quickly.

It's a business, nike is a powerhouse.

These shoes aren't being reproduced and then "restocked", when nike says the product is inactive... I'm sure it is.

But doesn't mean a store in North Dakota isn't/wasn't sitting on volt trainers and orange trainers.
That actually makes a ton of sense. Good stuff.

their was one when i posted it as well hopefully you got it

Well I got an order processed/shipped email from wiggle on an 11.5 volt trainer. I will cross my fingers and hope its now good to go. Hopefully a few others got pairs as well. Props for posting that info :smokin

for you guys looking to buy a volt trainer. Call a snail's pace
Thanks for the tip, gave them a call and wasn't able to find a pair. Have to say though, the customer service was amazing. Best I've experienced anywhere. Dude checked inventory at his other stores and even called their Nike dealer to see if it was possible to secure a pair and have it sent. Called me back within 5 minutes. Unfortunately like I said he wasn't able to find a pair. Repped for trying.

The hunt continues for a 9.5

Generally, or just in a 9.5?

I like the orange trainers (ordered yesterday), but i wish the medial side was grey like the racers are.
