apparently they had some production issues and have very few of these machines that knit the uppers right now.

Can't decide what color to get 
Volt - Love the colorway, but I feel like it's to bright, and I might regret the purchase in the future.
Black/White or White/Black - Can't decide, which one looks better lol.

serious question... to those that own these, are they really worth the retail price? I really want a pair, but that 150 price tag makes me cringe for what it looks like the shoe is...

those are good on feet pix up there but im pretty sure theyre gonna bulge when walked around in b/c of the loose lacing.
they look better like that imo but when i walked with my pair laced like that they were bulging with alot of heel slippage. just wasnt a good look overall...

In my opinion, unless you're a regular runner, I wouldn't recommend either of these shoes at the $150 price point. I'm a running shoe nerd who likes to try everything, but even I think these are overpriced. I think $100 for the racers and $120 for the trainers would have been more in line with standard pricing and what you're actually getting for your money. The trainers are definitely more casual wear friendly and the ones I would recommend for most people. Don't get me wrong, Flyknit is a very cool concept, I just don't think everybody will be satisfied with what they get for $150.

This is my first racer-style shoe(I have lunar racers from earlier this year but they were TOO narrow & with these coming I held off wearing them) but these being so light, breathable, and form fitting made them very desirable(I'm addicted to the swoosh so for those wondering why I didn't experience Asics, New Balance, and others...that's why). I didn't mind paying $150 for 1 RACER in a color I liked, they're not worth multiple colors unless you're on multiple running teams & trying to coordinate or something, those are strictly performance*
*I haven't been able to break them out yet, only run in place minimally so I can't judge performance cushioning wise, that's based on my experience with previous shoes though & the fit.
The trainers are a completely different beast to me, I'm still waiting on my 1/2 size up to come so I can't 100% speak on fit & performance, they're slightly thicker than the racers but it's not like you can wear these in rain without completely soaked feet because of their nature. I think the fit in my size will be great & that would make them a nice shoe to wear during & after my runs because they are also very flexible & breathable, that's what has me sold right now. I'm big on getting my shoes off as soon as I'm done running, I don't think these will be nearly as bad, that along with wanting to replace my shoes with more performance-ready shoes made me start ODing.
Guess I said all that to say they're not worth $150 if you're going casual only, if you're a runner though(and mainly want/know Nike) then I say they're worth getting(maybe not multiple colors unless you have other motives like me) but I had no problem with 1 pair at all.
That was entirely too long-winded to just say 1 pair of each = yes, multiple = ehhh it depends
edit- and I do agree with the above post, they could've priced these at $120-$130 to be fair, these are the best looking of my choices though & won me over color-wise & perceived fit wise, that was my justifying factor.

yea i was just sitting around the house and decided to take a pic. when i'm out and about i have them laced, can't deal with the heel slippage.
as for the price, the shoes are overpriced with the racer more so than the trainer. i don't feel i can wear the racer casually, it's pretty much just
a running shoe for me. the trainers i can wear casually, train in, run in,.... it's just a more versatile shoe with a more solid structure so i would
say the trainer carries the most value for me.

Interesting to see you guys say you think the $150 price tag is high. The retail here in the UK is £150, approx $235.

You'll get used to it. Just ease into it with shorter distances for a few runs.

thanks fellas... yeah I think I'll hold off and hope for some type of wider release where I can possibly get a discount... really would like to try a pair of the trainers even though it would basically just be for casual haha.

yeah Shaun, imo they're worth it. I want to wear mine everyday! At first I wasn't impressed with the comfort, but now they're perfect. They broke in really nicely.

That's how I feel. I only run a little and bought the trainers mostly for the gym/casual wear, and $150 is too much for them. I like them a lot, but at 150 I can only get one cw for now. Just can't justify the price tag when I can get frees or lunars that will work just as well

I'm not sure about the Running cut & Lunaracer soled version (like the HTMs), but a Mid Chukka LR-soled version is launching in February. FK Trainers tooled with LG4 soles are also launching around the same time.

I was able to track down these in store today and tried on both the trainer and racer. For me size 10 worked great for both, I have a narrow, slim foot but normally wear 10.5 in my nikes (exception I wear a 10 in roshes). I'd have to say the racer I tried on felt better with a little more arch and it hitting the right spots in my forefoot. The trainers weren't hitting my foot in the right spots. I like the trainers better overall and might just buy insoles to compensate or wait it out til next year for the LG4 soled flyknits

A different picture of the Free-Soled Flyknit was posted. The photo you posted is by far the best one.
After looking at the Flyknit Collective pictures again, I noticed that there is another upper and sole that I had not seen in the previous times I viewed the photo's. So far the releases to the public have been:
Flyknit Trainer - Lunar Sole (HTM)
Flyknit Trainer - Trainer Sole
Flyknit Racer
The other flyknit shoes that we know of but have not see a release are:
Flyknit Trainer Chukka with Lunar Racer sole
The really thin, porous mid with lunar sole
And the Flyknit with the Free sole
Which at first I thought was just a Flyknit Trainer upper with a free sole, but upon further inspection, it is a completely different upper.
Look at the toebox of the white/black stripe upper and compare it to the toe box of the Flyknit Trainer. They are different
There is also another Flyknit shoe with a completely different sole: The orange shoe which looks like an alternate Racer with a Lunar ribbed-type sole. Almost as if the sole is a combination of the current Racer sole and the Lunar sole
So it looks like we have more Flyknit technology to possibly look forward to.

They are most definitely overpriced, but they are SOO comfortable and breathable. Overall, probably the best everyday-type shoe I've ever had. If you can afford em, id say go for the trainers (although, the lunar version coming out next month is supposed to be even better).

They are supposedly re-releasing the latest HTM series next month at select retailers worldwide (the ones with the small swooshes/multi-colored ones)
