Theres nothing aesthetic between a padded collar and a unpadded collar.  it looks almost the same, especially when you wear them.

People puting up a dabate between the NA on the back of jordans...please go back to the jordans thread.

There is a huge difference between the padded collars. It's like putting rims on a car and the wheels are bulging rather than it sitting flush with the fender. And the back, idk what the term is, heel pull tab? Flares out instead of it being tight up against the shoe.
To you it may not be a big deal because I know it wasn't for me when I got my first pair of whites last year, but after I got unpadded black trainers from nikes restock I preferred unpadded. If they dropped red trainers padded I would buy them instantly. It's not I would turn them down because they are padded.

The whole Na vs Jumpman think was to make a comparison of a simple difference that makes a difference. Jordan's are dead.

@d E beatup

Ppl want what they can't have exactly. Jordan and nike basketball bs crap destroyed the "sneaker game" (I hate using that term) for me which is why I switched to flyknits. Ppl here are so much more chill

. i agree to disagree. I think we should stop talking about padded vs unpadded. lets keep this thread back on track.

Fools trying to be elitist putting down the padded version

Comfort wise, the shoes is already so comfortable, the comfort between padded and unpadded  is minimal. The only real debate between padded and unpadded is if you run in them, and that is all just preference.
getting the W/B B/W trainers for retail is a steal. If you are going to pass on them, pm me and ill buy them if its my size.

The fact that you believe people are being "elitist" with their preference of unpadded over padded is hilarious. First trainer I bought on launch was unpadded. I like unpadded. I'll stick with unpadded, even if it costs me twice as much, cause I can. How would you racer fans react if they put padding on your model? Same exact way us trainers guys have.

^I have to use this word I never use "REAL - TALK"

If you got the padded version. Take a exacto knife and youtube some sewing skills to make it un-padded. Save you some ducketts! :smh:

Anyway, anyone else notice the MC trainer sizes are gone from NDC? Hope they haven't been sent to outlets..

yeah it figures.. funny how they'd do that when they'd probably instantly sell out if they had just slapped a discount on them.

Just ordered my sport turq/lucid green from ndc, with my nike voucher came out to be $48 and some change. I just returned some Jordan 1 Phat's that were really uncomfortable :x

I couldn't wait till June for RW to tell me they cancelled both my orders

The only reason I say the Unpadded collar makes a big difference comfort wise (even casually) is because I am coming off an Achilles rupture and any pressure back there affects my whole day

I've ran in the unpadded trainers... If you ACTUALLY run in them then you are going to need socks with padding around the heel otherwise the unpadded collar will irritate your ankle... for the .0001% of you in here that run in them, hope this helps.

like many have said people will always want what they cant obtain. i.e. unpadded vs padded....

beasts will beast

this thread is for collectors AND enthusiasts and there is clearly enough room for all of us in here... good luck to those who are on the hunt for unpadded trainers..

Somebody tried that before. There is a plastic piece in there and it comes out horrible.

At the end of they day they regardless if they are padded or unpadded they are still Flyknit Trainers. Nike improved the design for functionality purposes. They are a performance shoe so the padding would protect the heel and reduce the friction around your heel.

You're right. But at the end of the day 80% of ppl on this thread don't use them for performance. Nike launched the new trainers which perform and look better on shelves.

Can't wait to see if nike adds padding to racers and completely destorys that one too.
