Racer vs Trainer

Just went into Forward Motion Sports in Danville. They have new colors in the Flyknit Trainer. They said they can ship anywhere in the US. (925)-820-9966

not that the trainers are bad by any means. I just love the fit and feel of the racers...and yes I have both.

I wish I had a narrower foot so I could at least try the Racers. Everybody stands by them, but my Trainers are super narrow. So I can't imagine how the Racers would fit me. I just suck it up though and buy a pair of the Volts, and if they don't fit just return them. 
 
Are they hard to keep clean? I feel like this material, kinda like mesh, would be hard to get cleaned once dirt gets in it. That's the only thing keeping me from getting a pair of the white ones. 
 
when I go out, Im always aware of my feet, and surroundings.... I wore em all day and no problems.

I wouldnt weart em anywhere where Id even think theyd get dirty tho. Im sure theyd be a ***** to clean if got dirty.
 
To be honest almost every colorway of this shoe looks amazing. Can't remember the last time I said that about a shoe.

Yeah, same here. I judge by shoes by where I'm going/doing that day. But I'm sure if you'd just wear the whites to gym or some places like that, that'd be fine with dirt.

I've got wide feet, and the Racer looks somewhat funny since the medial side of my foot hands slightly off the soul, but the fit is really not a problem at all. My feet are also very flat, so the Racer comfort level is 100x the Trainer, IMO.
 
about me , i will say the first color release on last July  for trainers it's amazing 

but the 2nd color that release on October 04/12 they are very boring and ugly ........... this true 
 
Hey, I am looking for the Flyknit Racer's but they are sold out online everywhere and I can't find them in any stores near me. I need a 10.5, any idea where I can pick up a pair online or in Utah?

How do these compare to Free Runs?

I just beat one of my two gym beaters into the ground to the point that the right shoe has a tear in it.

Figure it's time to try something new unless I can find some kind of outlet deal on some Free Run 2's.

For fitness I prefer that barefoot feel.  Are these the way to go or should I look to something else?   It seems like the consensus is Racers > Trainers, but I may have missed the boat on those since it's tough to keep up with all of the stuff Nike is dropping nowadays.
