Sooo hyped for this release. Does anyone think stores will do steamfits on site?
 
^Wow at the fitting story. Who knows if it works, but its innovative for sure. I need these like yesterday tho

I've trained in the Zoom Elite before, and the Flyknits had more cushioning, while still maintaining a feel very similar to the Zoom Streak (marathon race shoes). On the tempo run, the shoes felt amazing, like I was running on clouds, but they weren't slowing me down. 

The basic gist of the shoe is that it is a high cushion trainer that fits like a glove and is extremely lightweight.

Forgot to add: the Flyknit material feels extremely durable, and I expect the shoes to last 450-500 miles. Also, these do not have the Lunar midsole, as speculated, they are a neutral shoe."

Some interesting points were made in that thread, especially the one about the steam fitting. Which I wonder... will retailers be trained and given the equipment to be able to do the same thing once they're available on the shelves?

I highly doubt that steam fitting will go to retail if they see a broad release.  Kind of hard to steam fit if you can order them from Nike.com.  The only way I see the steam fitting happening is if they restrict the shoes to a few Nike stores (21 Mercer) and some other running stores or if they had a broader release and the steam fitting is just a benefit of buying them from Nike stores and/or other select shops.

Spoke to guys in 1948 London recently about these - they get like 1 size run a month (last 2 months) and resellers be all over em.... WTF :smh:

i still dont understand the point of creating a new thread. you could argue that for a whole bunch of other threads and then the forum would really be cluttered.
regardless, looking forward to seeing these. waiting to see if there's any truth to that tweet about july.
 
^i created a new thread because the title was not updated and it would be easier to have the info on one separate page.

aznguycz: im ok with this being the thread, just transfer the first page to this threads 1st page. i think its easier though to merge this thread with the other thread though.
 
I'm confused.  I swear I'd read that there is a release date set for July.  Is there any information regarding models/colors?  Are any of the Flyknits with the Lunartrainer-esque midsole coming out...like that white/black/volt colorway on page 1?
 
I'll be curious to hear some reviews on the trainers. Seems like they could be lacking in support.
 
They said they don't have a release date at this time. Typical response. If I was to guess it will be the 27th. This date coincides with the London opening ceremonies which would make sense for this release. Also based off the @NikeSupport response that was posted yesterday it will be in the month of July. They are running out of dates to release them so I think the 27th.
 
My response from customer service about flyknits...

So far all the info we have is that they will be releasing before the end of this month. Currently that is all the info we have on them. But they should be launching within the next 7-11 days
