In other words, they're whoring them out so every other kid will be wearing racers like they're Jordans.
This kid @soundbomber  is taking some serious heat but I'd have to say I AGREE with him/her. I personally do not want to see Racers get "whored" out like Roshes in terms of too many colorways, increased production numbers, and fake hypebeast wearers.

For many of us here, one of the reasons the Racers have allure (aside from comfort and style) is that not many people were into them and those that were, were represented as a small, tight knit group.

I'll repeat the fact stated by many on here in the past: Racers (and Trainers) were never that hard to get prior to the B/W's last month. MC racers sat for a week or two when first released and MC trainers even hit outlets. For two years, there was never a supply issue. The "demand" that's driving increased production numbers and re-releases is fake hypebeast (and resell) demand, not a genuine increase in people who truly love the shoe. There was always enough pairs to go around (and then some) for the true fan.

Chances are if you're excited about the future increased numbers and mass produced Flyknits, you're probably someone who was late to the party or you're a reseller with hopes of flipping multiple pairs of re-released MC's or Oreos for chump change (a la Black & Whites).

So you don't like it that shoes will be more available and that more people will have them? Umm...

fixed. should only matter if to someone who is buying shoes to attempt to impress others rather than for his/her personal enjoyment or benefit.

I'm sorry that Nike's mass production of racers is interfering with your dreams of being a unique snowflake.

Hardly the point here. If you're enjoying them for what is is then that's one thing, but there's no doubt that if/when Nike starts bringing back the older more sought after colorways it will only result in even more resellers and rising prices than now. If you guys truly think that mass production will allow everyone that genuinely wants a pair to be able to get them for retail then you've been fooled. Resellers been lurking and are already waiting to cash out on as many pairs as possible. You think resell is bad now? Just wait...

Eh. Not exactly. I've been around long enough to experience the easily accessible pairs, but I ended up missing out on the recent b/w racers because I missed the RRS preorder (once production pictures surfaced it was gg). It'd just be nice to be able to reup on pairs of mine (all of my racers are getting there) that are starting to show some wear. I'd LOVE to be able to beat any of my pairs straight into the ground and thinking to myself, "it's okay, I'll just buy a new pair next month." Instead, with the current state of things it's more like, "oh dammit, rubbed against a tire with my volts and now I'll have to pay $250 if I want a fresh pair." Sure, I can afford the resale price, but the principle of paying $100 over retail is just :x

I'm part of the group that was late to the party then^ lol cause I genuinely just dig the racers silhouette. The whole hypebeast thing though... Damn

Nice logic there, so rubbing a shoe on a tire constitutes a new pair? Don't think that you're so important that anyone is talking about you specifically, like I said in my last post, if you genuinely want a pair because you missed out then it's whatever, but don't think for one second that we won't see a rise in resellers who will eventually screw other people like you out of a pair for retail. Obviously as long as you get a pair for retail fck everyone else right? Pfft.

You're missing the point. The point is that if I had a pair that gets completely trashed (I am aware that rubbing against a tire, alone, does not do this. It was more figurative but I guess you didn't pick up on that), then a new pair is easily accessible. And maybe you haven't been around long enough, but resell only rises when the saturation still doesn't meet demand, which is the constant case with Jordans. Do you remember what Calypso Roshes were reselling before all the constant restocks? $300. And that wasn't some one-time sale. They were selling for $300 CONSTANTLY. What about certain SBs that constantly got restocked? Weiger dunks? Worked for those among others. What about the rereleases of infrared am90s? After the HoA pairs, came and went, resell started getting pretty gross for those as well. Then they came with the vintage pairs and near bi-yearly rerelease of those and it has made them soooo easy to get. So yes, I'm optimistic that a constantly restock of them will increase accessibility and reduce hype.

And where did I ever say "as long as I get my pair for retail fck everyone else"? I'm the one here hoping Nike saturates the hell out the market so we can all eat. Handfuls of people grabbing b/w pairs for retail instead of paying the $300 for white tongue racers is a win in my book, especially with resell prices of black tongues down in the $230 range.

I honestly don't even get upset about having to pay $100 or less over retail considering the state of the current shoe game.

It would be nice to come in here and not have to argue with people  and just appreciate the knits. damn.

Just got my first pair of trainers and love them. I. have a question though. Sorry if I'm late with it but how does the racer fit compared to the trainers?

Don't take this personally, its more of general statement than anything....

There's no excuse to claim to have missed out on the B/W's. Anyone who's been awake and even remotely paid attention the past two months had the opportunity to cop multiples through:

1.) RRS pre-order

2.) 1st NDC release

3.) Niketown releases

4.) RRS live online release

5.) FTL/HOH in store releases

6.) FTL/HOH stock locate opportunity

7.) 1st NDC backdoor method

8.) 2nd NDC release

9.) 2nd NDC backdoor

10.) Several other small store/web releases both here in the US and Europe

A big thank you to @KennethTheKing for the oop on the game royals. I truly appreciate the help! I'm still 1 pair away from all gr racers.

I just bought a pair of the volt/ electric green flyknit trainers which are unpadded and they make this squeaky noise that seems to be coming from the midsole. How can I fix this please help asap!

Theres still plenty of reason to say you missed.. Im with this guy, I barely got one on the last bd but you really had to be monitoring this thread or live near one of those stores.. no stores remotely near me had em....

B/W racers from NDC's latest restock arrived today.  I found 2-3 strands of thread popping out of the ankle.  What should I do? Thanks.
