Nice come up. I have small feet, 7.5. In most occasions, not a lot of pairs are produced in that size for limited pairs.
 
Why anyone would pay more than $10 for those beat MC's is mind boggling... and it would only be $10 so they can tell their friends they own a pair of MC's.

That was exactly my point. People can use running shoes for other uses rather than it's main intentional use just as much as people can use a shoe tree for other uses rather than it's main intentional use.

From the beginning I saw your post as informative. I too am just giving my opinion. I agree that using a full wooden shoe tree is not necessary, but if people want to then that's up to them.  
 
I'm usually a size 9.5 in Racers but ended up with two size 10 in the Oreo V2 and they fit perfectly so I'm glad that I was forced to go .5 size up in these. After some switching below, both pairs now match well together.

A point that you might've not seen is that there is a negative effect to putting a shoe tree in the flyknits and that's what a lot some people are pointing out. A lot of people are referring to the stretching effect.

Your example doesn't equate because me using running shoes to walk around in doesn't necessarily have a detrimental effect on my feet.

At the end of the day I have to put shoes on my feet or something equivalent. But some people choose to replace the stuffing that already shapes their shoes and replace it with something that does less.

Just copped a pair of mc trainers off craigslist for retail [emoji]128526[/emoji] and I was considering on dropping around $250 for them too lol
