doesn't have to be the same color code. Retro is something that is imitated similarly to something in the past. Since they are directly called Oreo's and very identical to the original Oreo's, I'd say they are pretty much a retro IMO. JB retros sneakers but the color isn't exactly like the OG.

I disagree. It's just a different colorway. A retro implies that a shoe went out of production. Racers haven't gone out of production.

You realize they aren't officially called the Oreos. Nor has Nike ever used that term. It was created on NT.

They're 2 completely different colorways. "Oreo 1s" are Black/White/Volt and "Oreo 2s" are Black/White.

Not retros at all. Too different to be retros.

Still don't know why you would compare Jordans (a shoe that has had a new model released every year) to something like this where there has been one Racer model since they were introduced. It would be like if Nike just kept making the Jordan 1. No way you would call it a "retro".

And really, I don't see any similarities between the new oreos and old, except for the nickname created.

Two complete different color ways. Like night and day. Light comparing baby blue shoes to a royal blue and saying its the same.
 
Interesting timing in regards to you guys posting that customization of the racers to all-white. Here's a pic I had on my phone that a friend sent me of an actual reverse black/white that is very similar. Unsure who the owner is or where it originated, but enjoy!

I was going to say these might be custom Sail/Volts, but painting volt Flywire would be a damn tedious job

Probably samples. I remember when the Black/White Racers were first seen on RRS (stock photos). This was the CW layout I wanted so bad.
