I'd be ordering them off ebay. Normally I'd have to pay like $40 total with shipping + stupid ebay import fees but this pair I found are about $100 total with shipping.

Nice! I hate that there are no good deals in Canada except the random 40% off at either Deadstock or Nrml. Import fees are crazy.

Sometimes though I've messaged sellers that have been willing to lower the price like $5 or $10, but still, to pay like 3/4 of what the total cost of the thing may be due to shipping + import fees it's ridiculous.

It refers to the back part of the shoe on the ankle. Some of the trainers are padded, and some are unpadded so no padding. Some like it better like that and others don't
