Question about the padding vs non padding: Is the shoe still considered the same model and everything? Is there any way to know the difference before buying aside from ribbon laces? I just got in my two pairs from ndc one with padding one without and I like without much more.

To me it is a big deal, I prefer no padding.

If I got a pair with padding id return them.

Agreed. The padding ruins them aesthetically and I like the feel of the nonpadded much more. It makes a bigger difference when you actually compare the two in hand.

I'm kind of glad there's a chance to get the padded version from NDC. It could be that I'm also curious to see a padded version in person. With my luck I'll probably end up hating it.

Okay now that I've worn my padded version from nikestore for a good two days, here's my thoughts:

TTS (same as nonpadded) works for me, just a bit more snug in the ankle obviously. I have a narrow foot so if you have a wide foot, you might want to find a way to try on your true size and .5 up just in case.

Flat laces are AWFUL replacement laces are a must.

The forefoot zoom unit seems larger on the padded version. It's that or the forefoot is less comfortable on the padded.

The nonpadded looks much better, but if you're putting in heavy running/training hours, the padded would most likely work better. I personally run in lunar glides so it's not a big issue for me.

***Edit***
Also, not sure if it makes a difference for anyone, but the heel tabs are a bit more loose on the padded version.

ebay, shot the dude an offer. i paid a little over retail. he probably would've got more had he lat the auction run its course.

Since you told me about ebay i tracked a pair down.
If u don't mind me asking, how much did you pay over retail. I'm paying 213.40 with shipping. The worse part is the wait. They are coming from europe new but without the box

I think I payed like 210 or 215 shipped

I had padded with my white pair and then compared to my black non padded pair, I have to agree with everybody. Non padded>>

people always look for something to gripe about....

All i know is I'd rather have a padded pair for retail than a original one for rape price (or not at all)

I'll take whatever I can get for retail but if I had an option ill pick the nonpadded

Looking to get my first pair of trainers... Just wanted to ask for your opinion on these.  Do they seem legit?

I'll add my piece about the padded vs. non-padded. I think the non-padding looks pretty damn clean, if the sizing for the padded trainers is like the fit of the padded lunars then the padding doesn't change the size at all but the unlaced feel is slightly tighter(not enough to go up or down a size although it'll be tempting but DON'T DO IT).

As far as what I would prefer, I was in this thread heavy when they first came out until my legs & toes suffered from the cut of the trainers. I had to get rid of mine, although the colors for the originals were nice & the non-padding looks pretty damn nice it's lining or nothing as far as the trainers go.

The racers didn't have that problem as much, I'm guessing since the upper is more flexible than the trainers there wasn't as much pressure & more give.
I used mine for running if that matters at all.

Can someone post comparison pics of padded and non padded? Im fine with either or, or maybe im not educated enough. I love my pair though I wish I didnt size up a half. I remember trying a 10.5 at NT when they first came out and I remember them being tight. They fit nice but i tried on the FK1 in a 10 and they were a lot better fitting. Do the FK1 and ZFK fit different?

I need those Volts smh.

Legit. Fakes are extremely easy to spot.
Thanks!  I was only worried because it looks like the seller intentionally covered up the size sticker on the box... but after further investigation, the seller had a 7.5 for sale as well so I'm sure he/she didn't want to take a 2nd pic.

This is how awful fakes look...everything is off.

Hey guys looking to buy these from someone, could I get a legit check on them? I know there is a LC thread but I figured I would get a quicker response on here, please delete if I am breaking any rules. Thanks in advance.
