First pair of Flyknits and I'm loving them. These shoes feel like they were meant to be worn without socks. I wear my Prestos and my Roshes sockless too.

I feel the same and I need to get these shoes. I'm waiting for them to release and will get them one way or another.

Does anyone have a release date on the blue/red multicolor racers

Wrong thread, there is a separate thread for flyknit lunar 1s.
It looks like the multicolor lunars are trickling into boutique shops, may mean the trainers and racers will be in soon too. Anyone know what other shops may carry these, particularly in the Bay Area? I don't mind outside stores either if I can do a phone order. I'm looking for a pair of the racers.

Definitely, man. Steaming should get rid of the creases and give you a much tighter fit.

maybe try this?

shove the shoe inserts/tissue snug against the toebox so that the dimples/creasing go away and it keeps the toebox's shape in place...and then steam the whole shoe for a quick 15-30 seconds.

i've never done it myself, but i'm planning to try it out once i start noticing toebox dimples.

can someone let us know if this procedure may be a problem?

I don't see why not. there was talk of Niketowns providing that service to their flyknit customers

There shouldn't be some of us have already done it with a steamer. I did mine without the inserts and they were a good snug fit and also remove the toe box issue

Steaming with tissue in there doesn't seem like the best idea. Better to do it with something that might not get wet/fall apart.

I'm wondering if there's an issue with keeping the shoe inserts/tissue in while steaming. In theory that should be the best way to form fit the Flyknit's toebox back to its original flat position and remove toebox dimples.

That's what I was thinking would be a problem. What about wrapping the shoe inserts in plastic?

Below are 2 images of the purple trainers. As for the blue/green, I honestly have not seen any on-foot images of them.

will steaming give a noticeably tighter fit around the sides/heel cup of the shoe at all?

how do i go about steaming my fly knits? i use then for racing i would love to give it a try

I just steamed my trainers, and I gotta say, I was a skeptic at first but it actually works! It flattened all the ugly creases in the front and it molded to the shape of my toes. Definitely going to do this with all my flyknits

If you JUST steam the toebox area and not the sides/heel cup of the shoe it shouldn't be affected.

I've steamed all of mine and it doesn't change the fit of the heel at all, at least not enough for it to be noticeable.

I remember some nike stores that did the steam fitting said its not the best idea because it hurts the durability of the shoe. Have you found that with your steaming method? They use the steam box which obviously steams the entire shoe, so maybe your method is more delicate. Thanks.

For future reference, Instagram is an excellent source for pictures.

Honestly, if anything they feel more durable after steaming. It tightens the knit, so overall the shoe is much more solid. (If that makes sense)

Of course, that effect is limited to the toe/body of the shoe. None of my Flyknits heels have been effected what so ever by steaming.

Saw these on IG earlier today, the CW's in the top pic look dope. Not sure if y'all have seen these CW's before, thought I'd share since I haven't seen any of em yet...

Came across this photo somewhere online. I think this is a great concept, nike should start implementing this type of color-blocking of a black base and play around with various colors on the toe-box & swoosh.

Edit:

This pair pictured IS a custom. It appears to be a black/white pair as base with all the white parts painted orange (more evident once you click the image to view full size). To be honest, the orange part does not even look like paint but rather filled in with an orange sharpie or marker of some sorts.  I have no idea who it belongs to, I just came across the image while browsing for something.
