What happened to the days of having a single colored toe in the MC? I know the all blue toe was special when the mc's first came out.

I finally stopped being lazy and called into RRS for the Blue Lagoons. Has anyone seen pics of the volt flywire snipped out?

Called into my local nikestore and they still have no word if they are releasing the 2.0's in store this week or not, they expect to but no word as of yet

please dont cut your flywire

that's basically downgrading the shoes into roshes with an air unit..
Leave the shoe as-is... just paint it and call it a day. Pretty much defeats the purpose of this shoe.

This thread is going to be rough this week and for the foreseeable future lol..

Sorry I'm new to flyknit racers and scooped up the Oreos this weekend. I usually wear sz 8.5 for all air maxes and sz 9 for Nike huaraches but had to settle for a sz 9 for the racers , the 8.5 kinda fitted small. Any one here half a sz up for the racers ? Is that the norm on these ?

Most people do, including my friends.

For my case I'm a size 13, there isn't .5 from 13 and up, so I settled with 13 but it fits perfect for me.

Be serious, how many of you run in these? I cut the flywire on the gray and volt... and they felt the same as all of my other colorways. It doesn't compromise anything IF you are not training in these and only wear casually. Downgrading to Roshe? Roshe look nothing like the Racers... They are nowhere as narrow or as sleek aesthetically. Some people snip it because they don't trust themselves with painting it. Since I know there was no difference before and after except for aesthetics, why wouldn't I do it again if I feel the shoes will look better after? Anyway, anyone have pictures?

Bottom line it's just dumb as hell to cut the flywire. No need to go and butcher the tech on the shoe. If it bothers you that much you should just pass on that cw :smh:. It's just as bad as dudes painting the phylon midsole with no regard for the fact that the paint will inenevitably crack and eventually look like ****.

Thank you for your unsolicited advice. Are you paying for people's pairs? No? Oh, okay then. Bottom line it's just dumb as hell to tell people what they should and shouldn't do with their money. I like the volt midsole and love the blue weave. No other colorway has that combination. In MY estimation, the flywire has made no difference because I DO NOT train in my pairs. The only difference is aesthetic. Breathe, yall. It's just flywire. It's just paint. I'm just asking for pictures lol.

They're your shoes. Do whatever you want with them. Someone posted a link to a Blue Lagoon custom video the other day where the flywire was snipped. Hopefully it gives you a better idea of what the upper will look like, though he did paint the midsole black. Anyway:

THIS....I never understood why people cut the flywire

For aethetics... I've done it once to this cw because I didn't like the contrast. I'm more partial to the stealthy look. Plus, I only wear these casually :smokin

[emoji]128587[/emoji][emoji]127995[/emoji] AGREED. I run in my Racers, and I definitely benefit from the FW, as its lockdown really helps. Honestly, you don't need that extra lockdown if you're just strolling around town, IMO.

However, if you need to rush and sprint to your local NikeTown for the MCs this Friday, I'd advise you to keep them as is! [emoji]128540[/emoji]

I go +1/2 up in the Racers too. If you compare your sized up Racers to the other shoes in your usual size, they should be very similar in length. I have narrow to normal foot width, if that matters...

Welcome new collection member, I really like the white midsole and decided to paint the midsole of the upcoming blue/green cw like this, ill leave the blue lining

Still don't understood why "(FITS TRUE TO SIZE)" is in the thread title. To me that's just not true and should be removed. It's very misleading. Racers in particular are def not true to size IMO.
