HAVE you seen how thin the material is?.... eyes.gif:rolleyes

What size are you in other Nike runners compared to what size shoe you have on the right?

anyone?

If you don't get a pair that fits well the shoes WILL curl up like the Structure Triax 91 and if anyone who has owned those they know what I'm talking about.

The toe will curl up like a banana.

Everyone's foot is different so you may not have that much room spared if you went TTS but everyone who has a pair is saying to go half size down.

I have a number of pairs and they are all my usual size 11. I couldn't wear a smaller size, particularly in the racer, which is very narrow in the toe area. I think for all these people going half to full size down from their usual size seems pretty strange. Almost as though they are wearing the wrong size in the first place.

Just called RRS in New Jersey. They will be selling them tomorrow. Smallest size is a size 8. Didn't ask what colors they will have since I will need a 7.5 with all this reading of going a half size smaller.

this exactly. i went tts in my racers and they fit perfect. yes there is a little room in the toe area but had i gone a half size down then they would be to narrow. now if the trainers sole is wider then i might consider going half down but only if i can try them on. if i cant then i will just stick to tts. i dont run so if i have a little room its not a huge concern...

these on NikeiD tho could be a problem as well...

The inconsistency in sizing especially in Jordan Brand products have people worried about sizing lately. As far as the racers, when in doubt get your true size.

Hmmm. I'd love for this to happen, especially with different choices of midsoles (i.e. Free Runs with the 3.0 or Free Run sole); however, it seems Nike's already having difficulty with machines pumping the uppers out for mass production, so I think it'll take A WHILE for FKiDs to be a reality.

Generally, Nike Racers/Racing Flats fit SNUG/form fitting (Lunaracer, Zoom Streaks, etc.), so getting your true size would the best option for the FK Racer, especially if you plan to run in them. If you want that extra room, go 1/2 up. Getting anything smaller than your true size would just kill your feet.

The fit of FK Trainers, on the other hand/foot, seems to vary, but it seems 1/2 down would be a better fit. We'll all find out tomorrow.

A NOTE ON SIZING:

I had a chance to try these Flyknit Trainers on at the Olympic trials in Eugene and I would say they run pretty TTS.  Unfortunately they were sold out, but I tried on a 12.5, which is my ideal size when I can find it.

However, I have to wear a 13 in Lebron 9's, Kobe 6's, and KD IV's, Air Max 2011's.  Most new stuff runs pretty small IMO.

Jordan Retro IV's, 12.5 is perfect for me, got a 13 in the Jordan XII Obsidians, 12.5 would be fine too though.  Foamposites I can wear 12's and they are snug, but just fine and good luck finding a 12.5.

Hopefully that helps!

I was confident in going a half size down from the first round of sizing talk in this thread. Now you guys got me worrying. I do like my shoes snug. I wear a 9.5 in almost everything else Nike which fits snug, but I know what the shoe upper is mad out of is a huge difference. My FR2's stretched out a bit while my FR3's feel a little more stiff. I went a half size down on the Trainers being shipped to my house. Im just wish they would get here today instead of tomorrow so I could try them on and see how they fit.

This sizing talk is really why I am annoyed that my two local fleet feets told me they wouldnt receive their shipment for 2 more month due to back-order. I really wanted to try them on in person. Anyone else have this problem with their local fleet feet?

Since it's the Trainer, I think you got the correct size, bro.

urbanwaste's pic pretty much confirms it. I can't wait to see/try them out for myself though.

I hope so. Im just always skeptical until i see for myself. The problem being i want to get both Racers tomorrow on NDC, im going to be pissed if Im not happy with the sizing and have to scavenge or wait a few months for the right size.

if its the racers i would say get your true size definitely. other wise you might end up with a protoj style side rollover...

Yeah esp when you see the shape of the racers, I got TTS in the Lunar racers and I can wear em with/without socks fine. I found the Free Huaraches a bit tight but Ive yet to get a nike running shoe that runs BIG - maybe some run wide but these seem to defy the norm.

For those that care, I read for a size 9, the racer weighs 160g, and the trainer 220g. I got to try a HTM trainers in size 10.5 and they were incredibly light, so I dont know if I would even care about added weight shedding lol.
I will comment a bit on sizing. I have wide feet and usually size up on narrow shoes. I normally wear a 10 in most shoes so that's what I hunted for. I could only find the HTM trainers in a 10.5 and took a gamble knowing I could try to trade them and/or I knew someone that would appreciate them and take them off my hands if they didn't fit. When I got them I immediately notices that although it was sleek and narrow in parts of the trainer, it did have a slightly wider toe box. The uppers have NO padding. All you get is this fine thin flyknit upper so there is a lot of room to play. My foot slid around like crazy. I could have tightened up the laces, but I knew I probably still would've felt a gap like urban's pic. I knew I needed a 10. I'm sure I could fit a 9.5 too. The uppers are so thin and flexible, people that size down will be fine. But I'm not sure it's absolutely necessary. I think it comes down to personal preference on how snug people like their shoes to fit. I personally like a little breathing room.
