Y'all right....F Air Max Day is a bit strong. I walk back that statement:

You gotta admit however that with the exception of a few dope collabs, AMs have gone the way of Roshes (which we can all agree are dead now). I just don't think that the recent watering down of AM models and the artificial hype Nike has to create for them is worth celebrating to the extent that Nike is doing with "Air Max Day" that's all.

I still like'em. Not saying I own a ton, but I prefer them sitting for me to pick up whenever I feel like it. Even better when they hit disco on Swoosh and I pay maybe $50, if that.
 
I still rock air maxes, roshes, flyknits, I wear em all

What I dont get, is how did I only hear about "Air Max Day" 2 years ago when those 1's dropped...

Hi guys, new to the flyknit game.  Just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone knows where I can find the oreo v2 (white swoosh right?) in a size 5 or 5.5 for my girl.  If anyone can help that'll be much appreciated!

Welcome! The oreo v2 is the white swoosh v1 black swoosh. You could go and check your local Footlocker first because I know some spots still have them, if not Ebay will be your best bet.

27 years actually. And it's not a "fake" thing they just made up.

March 26, 1987 is when they first released the Air Max 1 which is why they decided to dedicate today to celebrating the Air Max lineage. To understand the future you have to be able to appreciate the past. And Nike has come a long long way since '87 when there was just a single air unit in the heel.

I'm guessing they picked 2014 because that's the last time they truly significantly changed the air unit. Taking the full length bubble and adding flex grooves for increased motion in the forefoot.

Personally I think it's cool they created a day to celebrate the history of the greatest innovation in sneaker design.
 
It just gives me an excuse to bust out a pair of AMs and I do like that they add some options to AM IDs even though I havent taken advantage of that yet.
 

yeah I know the history, but the "day" all started 2 years ago, so its just a thing to create a build up to airmaxes for nike. but im not gunna go back and forth :lol: this aint an air max thread.


Can it please be summer so I can get some wears in on all these pairs I picked up over the winter from the re releases.

I was sold flyknit trainers and told they were samples, but I'm pretty skeptical. Can someone confirm if these were a gr or not?

Those are GRs my friend. Squadron Blues Style ID: 532984-414. Too many sellers on ebay put the word "sample" in their item description as a method of search manipulation to attract more viewers. Is this type of scenario what led you to believe these are "samples" or did the seller explicitly state they were?

You could open a PayPal dispute if you really wanted to claiming the item received was misrepresented or something other than advertised/expected.

Good luck....and a tip for the future: you can always check pairs here in this thread before buying.

They could just be a sample pair of squadron blues.

Check the tag on the inside of the tongue.

The seller is a resell shop in my city where I've had 15+ legit transactions, so I was inclined to believe him when he told me they were "samples."
 
Gotcha, thanks for the help. Anyone have a ballpark $ estimate? The first pic was blurry, id say they're a 9/10 (no box).

I paid $110 for a deadstock pair recently

but for your case I don't know what the seller is looking for because it's a sample pair, shouldn't be that expensive it's a GR color
