Ah, Thanks bro. Red was hard to see from that angle.

Hi all

New to niketalk here.  I have been following this thread for weeks now waiting on the flyknit release only to find out that Nike will not ship to Puerto Rico.  Im out of luck sine I cant find any other online store that will be having these soon.  I buy from RRS all the time, with free shipping and all to Puerto Rico no problem.  I dont understand why Nike cant do the same.

Anyway, does anyone know of another online site where I can buy them?

So everyone should stop buying what they love because 2gs is too much for you? I think 500k is too much for a car but you dont see me knocking others.

You never pointed out anything you loved about the shoes though, just the fact that 2k might seem like a lot, but the chances of ever meeting or seeing anybody else with the same shoes is rare. Which has nothing to do with the desirability/worth of the shoe itself, just its rarity. You never said you'd pay 2g's because you loved the shoes that much.

Just sayin'

HTM III Set. From all the pics I've seen of the Blue/Green cw, the right shoe seems to have a unique color distribution.

This pic makes me want to get 'em tomorrow. :wow:

Thanks for the great photo's Ray! Where'd you find them? It makes me want both of the asymmetric pairs even more! The brown/red/black pairs literally look like a pile of leaves in the fall with the color combination.

Now that I see that the carolina blue/orange pairs are a royal blue/orange with a black swoosh, thats a pass for me. Looks like im going to go after the black/white toe box pair.

Oh look, its this kinda stupid response thats gonna turn into my calling your reply stupid and unhelpful (check) and thus leading you to reply to me to do some research on it/read some pages (future check).

Lets just save that back and forth reply.

The last picture makes me want the volt trainers instead of the runners.

How many people are picking up a runner and trainer?

I'm picking up one pair of racers and one pair of trainers for now. Once I run in them I'll get another pair of the ones that run better for me. I had a strong preference for the lunaracer vs the lunar trainer and I have the feeling these will be the same. I prefer the design of the trainers though...either way, I am really excited for these!

No way I'm waking up at 8 am on the day I don't have work until 3 pm. I guess I just have to hope these sit, or they're available at the Employee Store come Monday.

YES, they are running shoes. Im laughing because to me, the shoes obviously look like running shoes. Also, it is very funny that a question is asked when yes, all of the answers have been posted in this thread already and with a little research, i.e. a google search, you can easily find out if the shoe is a running shoe or not. I would expect the same reaction which I gave if I went into the Air Jordan Olympic 7 thread and asked if the Air Jordan 7's were basketball shoes. I apologize if my response was stupid, I felt the question was stupid and the response was warranted.

Yes, both the Nike Flyknit Trainers and especially the Nike Flyknit Racers are considered running shoes.

Volt Trainers are definately getting picked up tomorrow after work. Runners aren't for me. This pic got me...

I am getting both Racers and already have the Volt trainer on the way. I am really having trouble deciding which other color of the Trainer to get. I was originally thinking the light blue/orange and I know I will eventually purchase the black/white toe box pair. I am now thinking about the red/black pair.

Stupidity from either of us aside, thanks for the info.

It really didnt look like a running shoe to me in my opinion, more like a trainer/hybrid of some sort. I dont really consider trainers and running shoes the same, even though sometimes those terms are interchanged.

Wonder how these will be compared to free runs...I picked up the FR3 today but if these shoes are just as comfy I might return them and pick these up.

Both the Trainer and Racer are running shoes. Don't let their names fool you, especially the Trainer.

Nike utilized the same concept/system/naming with the introduction of the Lunar Running line (Lunaracer and LunarTrainer) in 2008. The Trainer was used to prep/train you for distance/speed in the days leading up to the race, while the Racer was obviously worn during the big event.

Here's another perspective...

If you follow Nike Basketball and the NBA, particularly LeBron/Kobe, they play their season in their basic signature models, LBJ9 / Kobe VII (The Trainer). Once they hit the "Playoffs", they get a finer tuned shoe in the LeBron PS/Elite / Kobe PS/Elite editions (The Racer). It's the same concept.

Questions:

- Why are these so "hyped" to be sold at 8am EST?
- Why are these selling for 300+ on ebay?

Curious, thanks!

If you have a wide foot, I would definitely recommend buying your actual size.....i know the buying of .5 smaller has been recommended by most, i have a pair which i bought .5 down and they feel uncomfortable.....just a FYI
