No love for the Blue Glow / Volts??!!

My pair came in today, and I'm kinda disappointed. I had such high expectations for this shoe. Don't get me wrong, The Flyknit is nice and it's definitely a light shoe, and the colorway is insane!! The volt really pops. BUT, I have really wide feet and I expected/hoped that it would be just a tad more roomier. Especially in the rear of the shoe. & I'm obviously not a runner, so this setup may be beneficial to those who do.

Also, I tie my shoes loosely, if I tie them at all, and I wouldn't recommend that for these. The tighter you tie them, the better they feel.

Why the hell does it matter to you what one man plans to do with his shoes/money?

I think the stigma is more associated with the idea with "if he didn't buy to flip, someone who actually wanted them could have bought them". Correct me if I'm wrong.

The pair I ordered Friday morning came in. Wish the swoosh was white like the sample photos, but they're still a sick!

I was about to post pretty much the same thing.  I hate Nike, I have a slightly wide foot and range from 11-12 in their sneakers.  I mostly wear "running" shoes now (Lunars, Air Max) and just about all of those are 11.5 and fit well.  I used to wear 11s in AF1 and Dunks, for example.  Only 12s I have are some narrower retro Air Max.

I ordered the Flyknit Trainers...2 pairs of 11s (volt/black & blue/orange) and 2 pairs of 11.5 (blue/volt & white/black).  The 11s aren't even close to fitting, the 11.5s are tight too (without even tying the laces).  I might just keep 1 pair of 11.5 and return the rest, I don't even know.  I feel like a 12 would actually fit me best but I wouldn't be surprised if I get them and my feet are moving around in them.

But why should it matter to him? Resellers should stop just so he, or anyone else, could get a pair?

Kudos to look out for others, but at the end of the day, if it gets you money - Why not? There's no harm in it.

Yeah I feel ya man. I'm on the fence on whether I want to return these or not. I'm usually a 13 in Nike (Lebrons, SBs, AF1s), and a 12 in Jordans. I'm a 12 in Roshe, and everyone was like go TTS, but I was skeptical so I split the difference & went 12.5. Aint no way in H-E double hockeysticks I could do a 12, and the 13 would have too much room in the toe. :smh:

BTW, in regards to comfort, ROSHES >>>>>> FLYKNITS. (& no the $70 price point has nothing to do with my claim!!)

It doesn't really bother me but you're on a sneaker messageboard and reading a thread with people who are (you'd think, for the most part) genuinely interested in the shoe.  Kind of makes sense that some would be bothered by resellers buying up stock and driving the price up if they could've otherwise purchased them at retail.

Well the fact of the matter is that as long as there is significant demand, resellers will be here to stay.

Has anyone actually ran in the racers? Curious to hear thoughts about them.

I ended up getting the orange and volt racers and am planning on using one pair to run in. Hopefully they dont suck.

My point exactly. It comes with the territory. People gotta move on and get over it :smh:.

Back on topic...Really wish they had the red trainers on swoosh...Those are too clean :nthat:.

This post just scared me a little, hope I'm not in for a big surprise tonight when I get home, I might just cry, no lie

I ran 3 miles in them yesterday and I really liked them. It has been some time since I have run in anything similar, probably the Streaks. I thought the cushioning was great for how light the shoe is and I also thought that the fit was incredible. When I first put them on they were a little tight in the toe, lengthwise, but as soon as I started running I didn't even notice. For an everyday runner I am going to use the trainers which to me run as nice as the Lunaracer which have been my favorite everyday running shoe since they first came out.

well nike messed up my order and sent me two pairs i didn't order and left out the two i did.  of course my size in now sold out of the volt and

black/white trainers.  just annoying how little nike cares about their customers.

Ok so I went and got orange laces for my Volt Trainers to try to emulate this photo:

So I have been wearing them with the orange laces, but im starting to have a change of heart. I think that the orange looks good because it breaks up the volt. However the original photo from which I derived my inspiration has some differences. The green is a less subtle lime green instead of volt (highlighter green) and the laces are a regular orange instead of a neon orange. I am going back to the black laces for the time being and I'm going to look for regular orange laces. I am asking an opinion because I am curious, not because I cant formulate my own ideas (people asking on here what they should buy).
What does everybody think?

I would like them better with thinner laces. Good start though. Those laces just look too bulky for me.

not really digging those laces...maybe they are just too fat for the shoe and it's not really the orange that bothers me most.  i still prefer the black.

i guess i should provide my feelings on the sizing for these since i now have some.

i would say def don't size down in the racer and i would say it's probably possible to size down in the trainers, but

i'm not sure if the fit would be better.  i have both the racer and the trainers tts...there isn't any room to spare in the

racer, there is maybe a half-pinkie to pinkie width room in the trainer length wise.

Thanks for your opinion. I went a half size down for the trainers. They hurt my feet a little the first two days but they feel great now. I definitely know if I went TTS on the Trainers, my feet would slide around in them. I ordered some of the racers and went a half size down as well. Im kinda worried not but I guess I will have to wait to see. NDC is out of my size in both colors so I would search elsewhere if they a half size down in the racers is too small.

the biggest issue for me with that lace swap is that they are too thick. it ruins the lines for me. not a fan of the color blocking either, but that's personal preference. anyone can slap any color they want as long as they like how it looks. but in my opinion it definitely needs skinnier laces.
