BAD NEWs!

sole ripped from midsole on both shoes (L and R) :smh::smh:

unfortunately no pics because somehow they didn't save when I took them on my phone.

Luckily, FFS have awesome guys and they got me a new pair without any questions.

WHAT?!? :smh:

I don't know if I'd feel confident/secure in running in these knowing that could happen. :\

-edit-

I just got off the phone with RRS, and they'll be available on 7/27. :D I can't wait to see/try them! The cws aren't known though.

Fleet Feet is known for great customer service. They will always take care of you if something goes wrong like that.

I ordered the last size 9 volt/black trainer from the Houston Fleet Feet. Im going a half-size down like a few have suggested in this thread. I hope im right. If not, my 2 area Fleet Feets will receive their stock on or around next Wednesday/Thursday, right when I will be receiving my pair from Houston. I can always exchange for a my true size. Only reason I pulled the trigger instead of waiting for my local spot is that with shipping from Houston the shoes will cost me $160 and buying them local with CA sales tax will cost me $162. And there is always the hope that they will arrive early!!:D

^^^I would love to see those pictures of the ripped pair and how it happened. Was it contact with the ground snagging the upper or just the lateral movement.

is it really clearcoated? that would be disappointing if it was customized that way. as i pointed out in a previous post, i liked how the front of the toebox highlighted colors on these newest HTM colorways. if you look at all the other ones prior to these, they have the same pattern of a tighter/darker shade in the same area so I'm not really sure anything special was done to these. he didn't mention it in the interview either.

To me it really looks like a clear coat on the tip or the toe box. It is especially prominent on the back-round shoe. You can see that the toe box edge is darker.

Thanks for the info dbooth.

I was able to order a 10.5 from them.  I was impressed by Fleet Feet's customer service.  They said they've been getting phone orders from all over for these.

bet stuntman scooped the 8.5 from houston cause the dude told me just shipped a pair to hawaii.  all good though these should be pretty available and an

easy cop.  the 27th is the official date and lots of places should have them apparently.  guy also said additional colors should be dropping around a month in

or so and since it's a unisex shoe the colors are all supposed to be sort of neutral i guess.

I supposedly got the last size 12 Volt Trainer from the Houston FF. Thanks for posting that info-I'm really excited about the Flyknit series of shoes.

Now I REALLY want to locate a pair of the Volt or USA Racers in a 12. If anyone has any clue about where to find a pair please let me know.

it does make sense to be darkened like that with a clear coat and i clearly saw that and understood what was being referenced, but im not 100% sure it is. that's why i mentioned other pairs also showed similar features (see the other blue HTM pair - notice the same area shows darkened colors) when they were unrelated to skating, so that's why i didn't think they were given a custom clear coat. besides, as i mentioned earlier, in the writeup, he basically gave a review on how the material would hold up in skating. it would defeat the purpose of testing the durability of the material if they were gonna spray a clear coat over it. i really like how it looks so if it was clear coated, i hope all pairs come like that lol.

that's funny if he did give in and nabbed it. we're both bigger fans of the flyknits supporting lunar soles. but he was looking to grab size 8.5s and im not aware of any other hawaii guys anticipating flyknits as much as we are.
anyone hear of a possible release date on the non-lunar sole trainer in that light blue colorway?

for anyone who was trying to get the trainers from the olympic trials, these are supposed to release on 1/1. based on these pics, they look pretty much the same with the exception of the swoosh.

Thanks for the pics Devin.

So glad I didn't give in and buy the reds off eBay a few weeks back.

awww man. it wasn't me who snagged that 8.5. the shoe shipping to hawaii must be spoonie. i prefer the lunar outsole like higuy said. might try to snag a pair of the regular trainers but i'm not going to go after them too hard. i'm putting aside some cash for the 3rd HTM drop. if those "iguana" trainers or that other mixed colorway are in that group, i really would like a pair. hopefully the prices drop as the tech becomes more widely available. super stoked on this whole drop though. i'm interested to see if other people are as impressed as i was when i first held a pair in my hands.

He had pictures in the computer which I tried, unsuccessfully, to get him to send to me. He told me the color-ways that today was the last day for him to order for 2013 were
Flyknit Trainer
Black/White
Teal/White
Pink/Gray
Yellow/Green
Flyknit Racer
Red/White
Black/White
Also mentioned for the 2013 color-ways was that the inverse of some of the color-ways would also be available. ie. The teal/white would also have the inverse of white/teal. They just flipped with color was more predominate in the overlay of the weave.
He also said that the Nike Lunar One with the flyknit technology would be more widely available and sold in stores such as DSG

Haha there were only about 3 pairs of 8.5s left.

I took one yesterday and after my sole ripped off I had to get another today LOL.

BTW: About an inch of the sole came apart from the sole. It was on this part of the midsole-

this is my new pair, but just trying to show the general area - it was the first "curve" on the midsole/sole

Im sorry, I misunderstood what you were trying to say. Makes sense now. My bad.

You say those are releasing 1/1........ as in January 1, 2013?
