They must have run out of stock, because my red racers came in Wednesday. The wait sucks, but they're awesome. With the racers, you can really see the promise of Flyknit. I've just been staring at mine.

I was under the impression that the new batches of flyknit trainers (including the og colors) came with the padded heel collar and ribbon laces that the lunar one's have. So I was surprised when my pair of black/white trainers came today and its the OG version. I kinda would have liked the padded heel, but overall its doesn't bother me. Round laces ftw. I got my pair from running warehouse.

So, what is the real deal on the newer version? Did I just get lucky or what? Thanks

thats what i love about the racers, said it last year. and i feel like the lunar 1s, with the padding and "thicker" knit are moving to far away from the original intentions of the flyknit tech which is why i have passed on them so far. i REALLY wish they would put out the lunar racers because then they could just have my money. my opinion..

I struck out on the red racers from RRS too. I just received an email today about them being unable to fulfill my order because it was out of stock. Hopefully I'll catch them somewhere from a restock just like the volt racers back in October

Don't think that's ever going to happen. Nike are not morons......... Any of the US sites with retail state no overseas shipping. On the plus side, UK already have the Grey racer (I know this as I bought them last weekend) and Nike have reduced retail to 130 POUNDS... Not cheap enough, but better than before by 20! 
 
Anybody replace those lame ribbon laces on the trainers? If so, with what?
 
My Racers came in today :pimp:

First thing I noticed is how low profile and super light they are. They are narrow, and being so low to the ground they look mad small, I probably could have went a half size up, but oh well. Once I put them on though, the comfort was def there :pimp:

So the Trainers were the only pair that got the "upgrade" with the padded heel collar and ribbon laces? :nerd:
 
I wanted to share this pair I been working on with the FK fans in here. One of my favorite shoes from Nike in a long time. I ended up with
2 pairs of the black and whites which is why I decided to paint a pair.

interesting... not my style though. I applaud you though, because I'm sure customizing FKs is a pain in the ...



and I'm really salty right now.. Lost a last second bid on a pair of HTM flyknits two weeks in a row. It was an amazing price.

Pretty sure you just got an old batch that they haven't moved yet. I'm assuming that all the new ones are the same product code going forward.

I ordered one before the "new" ones were everywhere and I got the OG ones, so I'm sure there are plenty sitting around.

EDIT: I saw someone put their solarsoft Roshe Insoles in their flyknits on instagram...that sounds comfy as hell.

Agree with you i said this in the lunar 1 thread. My trainers to me are a second skin. I love the way they fit and form to my foot. I don't know if its a sizing thing because i own trainers in a 10.5 and got lunars in an 11. But it just isn't the same feeling for me.

The flyknit in my trianers when laced up conforms to my foot so well and stretched a lot from first wear to hug my entire foot. Probably going to try to scoop up more before they are extinct.

I have a sizing question.

So I tried on a pair of the first run (no collar padding) of flyknits in a 12 (my true size) at Nike Dallas over Christmas break. They fit quite loose.
I ordered an 11.5 in the white/black flyknit trainers from run.com, assuming they would run big and they fit too small with the collar padding.
Went on to return them, the package should actually be there today and it will take around 3 days to get the refund I was told. I was planning to just order a size 12 when I got my refund, but I just checked and saw that the 12's are sold out. Will I be okay if I just order 12.5? I am going to only wear them casually.
