Regardless of how you feel about Kanye and what he wears, that is how the fashion landscape is presently. You see a celebrity you like wearing something, you might like it you might not, the people who like the look would of course try to duplicate the look and buy the necessary components. You can't knock someone who's wearing something because Kanye wore it, or because X celebrity wore it. We all accept in some type of outside influence, whether its from our peers, or the media. Just accept that and move on.

Lets be real here. Kanye is a fashion icon, and he did sell out those Black/White and White/Black trainers.

We all love to hate Kanye, but he has started a TON of trends currently.

Like a few others, lucid greens came in today! Earlier then June 5th date, such a clean colorway.. Cant wait i break them out this weekend!!

ridiculous* I own them and I do like them; however, they aren't worth the $220+ range they're going for at the moment. This is why I believe they are overrated. I KNOW they are over hyped because of Kanye, because I was able to grab a pair way under retail around the time they first released, which was before the pictures of him wearing them surfaced.

I'm trying to prove of your theory is true by having ppl DIRECTLY SAY they bought white or black trainers because of Kanye. I know he has a lot of influence in the fashion world.

You do realize Kanye was put on by his stylist/advisor right? Previously to that he dressed like absolute ****.

I'm a completionist (is that even a word? If not, it is now) I want the first 10 trainers. Never imagined the whites & blacks would continue to climb at the rate they have. Just 2 months ago I got both pairs for $575 shipped (DS, size 10, both unpadded) and I thought that was extreme. Now? Who knows how high the hype will continue to climb. Eventually I think it will drop off, especially with Kanye rocking adidas now.
