was fortunate to double up on them just yesterday. found my size for a great deal. I paid almost $170 for my 1st pair. slept on them as well when they released but I knew I had to at least see them in person to make a decision so I called Nike to stock locate me a pair and there was a display pair at NikeTown Chicago. so retail + shipping + tax was the $170.

I wouldn't do that. They just released so I'm sure they'll pop up again sooner or later on some sites or in retail stores. They're probably still available in some places for retail. Chat with an NDC rep to see if they can locate a pair for you.

contemplating those grayscale racers for $122 but i normally wear an 11. on the other hand I could buy 10.5 gray/black racers for a few bucks below retail.

fairly reckless spending behavior, but it seems to be the only way to secure certain pairs.

grey/black. By far. Grey scales are cool but between those two, grey/blacks are a no brainer

I have both and I think it's a matter of preference. Both are solid colors but some guys want that "weave" look of different colors in their flyknits. Personally I like the simple colorways with the dark medial i.e. black/white, grey/black. I'll probably get some heat for this, but I would take black/white or grey/black racers over the MCs any day.
