My thoughts:
- Works well to get the dirt out
- Being that the FK material is really sensitive, it MAY cause it to become "furry"
- It worked well with the suede on my black/red 4s though

Anyone else who ordered the Volt Racers recently from Luke's Locker notice that they must be old stock leftover from the original release?

After reading how the newer shipments of Flyknits have been coming padded and with the ribbon laces; I noticed right away upon first wear that the laces on mine were the OG ones.

I checked the tag on the inside and production date said 4/13/12

I am not digging the ribbon laces on the newer pairs :smh:

Racers have never been padded.
 
was told by a rrs customer service office that my trainer will shipped out on 7/26, but its delaying again ? has anyone got the same problem here ?

Word, but I'm not sure wether or not it has been confirmed if volt racers are currently being produced or if these restocks are from the early productions/stock that is just being distributed now.

Regardless, padding and racers have nothing to do with one another.

lol right, I think what he meant to say was the volt racers have not been sent through production again, the only volt racers & orange racers out there as of now are the original release from 1 year ago today. It's no surprise you have the OG laces/last year's production date.


And since I just mentioned it, happy birthday Flyknit! for those that remember, exactly 1 year ago today they released to the general public finally. Man what a wild & crazy 1 year that has been

I noticed that the left pair's toe is curved in. Has it always been like that? I have a DS pair in a size 10.5 and both of my rubber toes are curved in like a damn sled...:smh:

Thanks. Looks like you found a rare pair of unpadded from Nike produced last year. My guess would be it was a returned NEW item so they tossed it back into the stock pool. Slim chance for another person to receive an unpadded pair from Nike at this point.

Racers definitely have heel zoom. It's been unclear whether or not they have forefoot zoom. NDC says they do, some sites say they don't. If you look under the insole, it looks to me like they have forefoot zoom, but honestly it doesn't really feel like they do.

I think it's more the angle of the picture, but I see what you mean. The left toe on that pair is slightly less "full" if you want to call it that. Most of my other pairs of trainers have creasing on the toe from being worn so much, especially my blue glows which were a little oddly shaped when I first got them anyway.
