how do i go about steaming my fly knits? i use then for racing i would love to give it a try

I remember some nike stores that did the steam fitting said its not the best idea because it hurts the durability of the shoe. Have you found that with your steaming method? They use the steam box which obviously steams the entire shoe, so maybe your method is more delicate. Thanks.

Honestly, if anything they feel more durable after steaming. It tightens the knit, so overall the shoe is much more solid. (If that makes sense)

Of course, that effect is limited to the toe/body of the shoe. None of my Flyknits heels have been effected what so ever by steaming.
 
Came across this photo somewhere online. I think this is a great concept, nike should start implementing this type of color-blocking of a black base and play around with various colors on the toe-box & swoosh.

This pair pictured IS a custom. It appears to be a black/white pair as base with all the white parts painted orange (more evident once you click the image to view full size). To be honest, the orange part does not even look like paint but rather filled in with an orange sharpie or marker of some sorts.  I have no idea who it belongs to, I just came across the image while browsing for something.

Damn....... This makes me want to try something like this on one of my extra black trainers. I think a light blue or red toe and swoosh would look seriously amazing. Tempting. Very tempting.
